This study proposes a novel colorimetric method based on the ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometry-colorimetric (UV/Vis-CM) for detecting and quantifying total triterpenoids in traditional Chinese medicine. By incorporating colourants 2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzaldehyde concentrated sulfuric acid, triterpenoid compounds colour development became more sensitive, detection accuracy was significantly improved. acid were incorporated 1:3 volume ratio at room temperature to react with triterpenes 25 min, an ice bath 5 then detected optimal absorption wavelength. The reliability of this verified by comparison high-performance liquid chromatography four other methods. Additionally, approach has advantages not requiring heating during operation, high sensitivity, short usage time, low solvent usage, equipment costs. only offers reliable medicine but also rapid tool on-site testing large-scale screening, laying foundation modernisation research, quality control, drug development.

Asteraceae (Compositae), commonly known as the sunflower family, is one of largest plant families in world and includes several species with pharmacological properties. In search for new antiviral candidates, an vitro screening against dengue virus (DENV) was performed on a series dichloromethane methanolic extracts prepared from six species, including Acmella bellidioides, Campuloclinium macrocephalum, Grindelia pulchella, chiloensis, Helenium radiatum, Viguiera tuberosa, along pure phytochemicals isolated Asteraceae: mikanolide (1), eupatoriopicrin (2), eupahakonenin B (3), minimolide (4), estafietin (5), 2-oxo-8-deoxyligustrin (6), santhemoidin C (7), euparin (8), jaceidin (9), nepetin (10), jaceosidin (11), eryodictiol (12), eupatorin (13), 5-demethylsinensetin (14). Results showed that C. macrocephalum H. radiatum G. pulchella were highly active selective DENV-2, affording EC50 values 0.11, 0.15, 1.80, 3.85 µg/mL, respectively, SIs 171.0, 18.8, >17.36, 64.9, respectively. From pool tested, compounds 6, 7, 8 stand out most (EC50 = 3.7, 3.1, 6.8 µM, respectively; SI 5.9, 6.7, >73.4, respectively). These results demonstrate their chemical constituents represent valuable sources molecules.

In this context, small molecules propolis were computationally screened through pharmacokinetic toxicity studies followed by molecular docking dynamics simulation glycoprotein (NiV-G protein) assess their anti-Nipah potential. A thorough literature analysis was performed identify antiviral compounds from a pool of 84 experimental articles. Following ADMET analysis, 27 out 34 docked against NiV-G compared control ligand, ribavirin, which an investigational drug Nipah. The revealed that bauer-7-en-3β-yl acetate (BA) moronic acid (MA) bound more strongly active site than ribavirin other ligands. Investigation root-mean-square deviation (RMSD), root mean square fluctuations (RMSF), radius gyration (Rg), solvent accessible surface area (SASA), (MolSA), binding free energy (MM-PBSA), complexity hydrogen bonds (HBs), secondary structure ligand-target interactions for 100 ns (MD) study further supported complex's stability compactness. Therefore, silico interaction reports both may be possible candidates infection.

The rinds processed into a powder, extracted using maceration refined with rotary evaporator. potency antidiabetic properties Citrullus lanatus evaluated by observing sugar level after inducing glucose. divided seven groups, each receiving varying dosages specific extract. samples collected cutting small portion mouse tail. A device called glucometer utilized to monitor level. ANCOVA then for analysis data. Results: Univariate showed baseline weight did not significantly affect results, but treatment significant (p <.01) large effect size (η2 = .860). Higher doses both metformin resulted notable loss. reduction observed, especially 175 mg/kg extract, where decreased from 131 mg/dL 85.75 mg/dL. rejected null hypothesis, confirming extract's efficacy lowering levels. Conclusion: (Citrullus lanatus) could potentially be used as against diabetes.

‘Blood stasis’ (syndrome) (BSS) is a fundamental concept in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), where it known as Xue Yu (血瘀). Similar concepts exist Korean (‘Eohyul’) and Japanese Kampo medicine (Oketsu). Blood stasis considered to underpin large variety of inflammatory diseases, though an exact equivalent Western systems yet be described. Some time ago we discovered that blood can clot into anomalous amyloid form, creating what have referred fibrinaloid microclots. These microclots occur great many chronic, diseases are comparatively resistant fibrinolysis, thus the ability block microcapillaries hence lower oxygen transfer tissues, with multiple pathological consequences.
