Tanacetum parthenium is a medicinal plant from the Asteraceae family that can be applied externally in case of various skin diseases. The aim study was to perform phytochemical analysis hydroethanolic extracts aerial parts (herb), flower heads, and leaves feverfew assess their biological properties. Hydrodistilled oils were analyzed using GC-MS. chemical composition estimated spectrophotometry HPLC method. Moreover, evaluated determine antioxidant potential DPPH FRAP measuring intracellular level ROS. cytotoxicity toward keratinocytes fibroblasts also analyzed, as well antimicrobial properties against 12 microorganisms. results research revealed chrysanthenone α-thujone dominant volatile compounds essential oil flowers, while camphor, trans-chrysanthenyl acetate, camphene predominant herb. showed major polyphenol present T. 3,5-dicaffeoyl-quinic acid, chlorogenic 3,4-dicaffeoyl-quinic acid. extract flowers shown have highest content total polyphenols, flavonoids, phenolic acids, potential. In turn, herb had condensed tannins terpenoids exhibited most effective bacterial fungal strains. different plants potent protective effect on cells. supports applications cosmetic pharmaceutical industries.
