Abstract
Oral
cancer
is
a
disease
with
high
mortality
and
rising
incidence
worldwide.
Although
fragmentary
literature
on
the
anti‐oral
effects
of
plant
products
has
been
published,
comprehensive
analysis
lacking.
In
this
work,
critical
evaluation
oral
preventative
or
therapeutic
dietary
plants
was
conducted.
An
exhaustive
available
data
supports
that
numerous
exert
anticancer
effects,
including
suppression
cell
proliferation,
viability,
autophagy,
angiogenesis,
invasion,
metastasis
while
promoting
cycle
arrest
apoptosis.
Plant
extracts
target
several
cellular
mechanisms,
such
as
reversal
epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal
transition
promotion
oxidative
stress
mitochondrial
membrane
dysfunction
by
modulation
various
signaling
pathways.
These

were

to
