Giardiasis is a parasitosis caused by Giardia lamblia with significant epidemiological and clinical importance due to its high prevalence pathogenicity. The lack of optimal therapies for treating this parasite makes the development new effective chemical entities an urgent need. In search inhibitors adenylyl cyclase gNC1 obtained from G. lamblia, 14 extracts Argentinian native plants were screened. Lepechinia floribunda L. meyenii exhibited highest inhibitory activity, IC50 values 9 31 µg/mL, respectively. silico studies showed rosmarinic acid, hydroxycinnamic acid present in both mentioned species, be promising anti-gNC1 compound. This result was confirmed experimentally, showing value 10.1 µM. Theoretical experimental findings elucidate molecular-level mechanism pinpointing key interactions stabilizing compound–enzyme complex binding site. These results strongly support that scaffold developing novel compounds activity against gNC1, which could serve as potential therapeutic agents treat giardiasis.

Rosemary is one of the most important medicinal plants for natural therapy due to its multiple pharmacological properties, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, antiproliferative, antitumor, hepato- and nephroprotective, hypolipidemic, hypocholesterolemic, antihypertensive, anti-ischemic, hypoglycemic, radioprotective, antimicrobial, antiviral, antiallergic, wound healing properties. Our study reports first time, over a 12-month period, identification quantification polyphenols investigation antioxidant acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitory activities Rosmarinus officinalis L. species harvested at flowering from flora southwestern Romania (Oltenia Region). Identification polyphenolic acids was made by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (UHPLC/MS). Total phenolic content determined using spectrophotometric method. In situ anticholinesterase were evaluated 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) AChE assay, respectively, on high-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) plates. DPPH radical scavenging activity also assessed spectrophotometrically. The results revealed significant correlations between specific compounds measured biological activities, understanding role seasonal variations providing insights into optimal harvesting times benefits rosemary. research brings new information phytochemical profile R. source with

Gastrointestinal cancers are still the leading cause of death worldwide. This is related, among other things, to non-specific symptoms, especially in initial stages, and also limited possibilities for treatment. Therefore, research being conducted improve detection this type cancer increase effectiveness therapy. The potential application natural compounds management deserves special attention. In group such products, there polyphenolic that reveal, e.g., anti-oxidative, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic, neuroprotective properties. One these polyphenols rosmarinic acid, commonly found plants as Boraginaceae Nepetoideae subfamilies Lamiaceae (mint) family. Abstract The distinct conformational characteristics, functionality, affordability, low toxicity, and usefulness make calixarene-based compounds a promising treatment option for cancer. aim of the present study is to synthesize new compound assess its anticancer potential on some human cancer cells. synthesized C-4-Hydroxyphenylcalix[4] resorcinarene ( HPCR ) was characterized by several spectroscopic techniques such as 1HNMR, 13CNMR, X-ray crystallographic analysis confirm purity identity. IC 50 values were identified cell lines (U-87, MCF-7, A549) dermal fibroblasts line (HDF) after with standard drug Cisplatin. A significant selective growth inhibitory activity against U-87 A549 obtained at an concentration 100 μM. MOE docking module (version 2015) utilized extent inhibition four cancer-related proteins (3RJ3, 7AXD, 6DUK, 1CGL).

This study assessed the total flavonoids, polyphenols, condensed tannins, and antioxidant activity ( in vitro silico ) of aqueous organic extracts fresh Moroccan rosemary Rosmarinus officinalis hydro-distillation residues. Quantitative methods identified distinct compound profiles. Notably, hydro-acetone composite exhibited heightened polyphenolic concentrations both samples. Conversely, hydro-methanolic showcased elevated flavonoid levels (RD: 68.4 ± 1.1 mg EC/g MS, RF: 47.1 1.0 MS) alongside tannins (RF: 19.3 0.2 DR: 11.8 0.1 DM). HPLC-ESI-MS analysis provided profound insights into chemical composition hydromethanolic, hydroacetone, extracts, identifying 20 compounds, predominantly phenolic diterpenes, acids. Furthermore, robust activity. Molecular docking analyses revealed specific interactions between key compounds (Carnosol, Carnosic Acid, Rosmarinic Acid)–and target proteins, shedding light on their potent properties providing valuable for pharmaceutical therapeutic applications. By revealing intricate phytochemical characterization from Middle Atlas, this enriches our understanding its paves way potential applications pharmaceuticals, supplements, natural additives, enhancing industrial significance.
