Plastics, due to their varied properties, find use in different sectors such as agriculture, packaging, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and construction, mention a few. Excessive of plastics results lot plastic waste buildup. Poorly managed (as shown by heaps on dumpsites, free spaces, along roads, marine systems) the landfills, are just fraction environment. A complete picture should include micro nano-plastics (MNPs) hydrosphere, biosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere, current extreme weather conditions (which effects climate change), wear tear, other factors promote MNP formation. MNPs pose threat environment more than pristine counterparts. This review highlights entry occurrence primary secondary soil, water air, together with aging. Furthermore, uptake internalization, plants, animals, humans discussed, toxicity effects. Finally, future perspective conclusion given. Currently, natural and urban ecosystems are affected by different types of atmospheric deposition, which can compromise the balance environment. Plastic pollution represents one major threats for biota, including lichens. Epiphytic lichens have value as bioindicators environmental pollution, climate change, anthropic impacts. In this study, we aim to investigate lichen bioaccumulation airborne microplastics along an anthropogenic gradient. We sampled from Genera Cladonia Xanthoria highlight effectiveness tools passive biomonitoring microplastics. chose three sites, a "natural site" in Altipiani di Arcinazzo, "protected Castelporziano Presidential estate "urban centre Rome. Overall, 90 lichens, observed external plastic entrapment, melt oxygen peroxide analysed entrapment. To validate method, calculated recovery rates lichen. Particularly, 253 MPs particles were detected across samples: 97 % fibers, 3 fragments. A gradient number microplastic fibers sites emerged, with increasing accumulation site (n = 58) 116), direct relationship between length abundance fibers. Moreover, first evidences mesoplastics entrapped On average, experienced shortest fibre Rome longest. No differences emerged two genera. Our results indicated that effectively be used deposition. scenario, role entrapping protecting pristine areas must investigated. Furthermore, considering impact on human health bioindicators, their use is encouraged.

Over the past few decades, production of metal oxide nanoparticles (MONPs) has developed into an exciting and sophisticated research area. Green have played extremely imperative role in various fields, including biomedical, environmental, energy, agricultural applications, catalytic, bioactive, antibacterial, poisonous, biocompatible. To achieve sustainability adopt environmentally friendly practices, MONPs is now increasingly focused on exploring green chemistry alternative pathways. When made using synthesis techniques, are especially important because they do not require external stabilizers, capping agents, dangerous chemicals, or harsh operating conditions (high pressure temperature). Plant-mediated different either whole cells extracts several advantages, rapid (compared with other biogenic processes (using fungi bacteria)), being more stable than types, available nature, non-toxic. This review provides a comprehensive overview plant parts, factors affecting synthesis, characterization synthesized NPs. Additionally, it highlights potential these that widely used to treat environmental pollutants, removal heavy metals, antibacterials, degradation organic pollutants.
