The fast fashion trends in the textile industry have resulted high consumption of fiber with concomitant generation waste. Awareness environmental pollution resulting from production and disposal has increased significantly. This increase pushed research activities toward more sustainable recycling alternatives to properly handle end-of-life textiles. review provides an overview existing technologies, latest developments, studies on technologies employed industry. Different types recycling—mechanical, chemical, biochemical standard fabrics used garments, cotton, wool, polyester, polyamide 6 6, acrylic—are explored. Recent advances such as advanced sorting techniques, innovative chemical processing, emerging processes are revealed. also highlights efforts being made by various agencies companies facilitating employing a commercial scale. Various methods for efficient waste identification discussed. reviewed revealed that most were conducted post-industrial waste, which tends be homogenous dyes fibers present It suggested post-consumer textiles could recycled using biological options potential valorize into high-value products.

The clothing, footwear, and household textiles sectors play a significant role, providing employment opportunities on global scale. However, they are also associated with considerable consumption of natural resources, leading to high levels water pollution emissions greenhouse gases, contributing climate change. carbon footprint (CF) depends generally fabric types production processes. Natural fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, have lower CF when compared synthetic fabrics polyester nylon, requiring more energy chemicals during production. In addition, manufactured through eco-friendly methods, closed-loop systems sustainable processes, significantly than those produced using conventional means. Accordingly, there is perceived need for comprehensive studies that investigate the environmental implications textile sector. Considering these concerns, study was undertaken topic, encompassing literature review data collection so present an overview impacts results from research show resource sector, particularly its CF, demands urgent action in order reduce impacts. Also, actionable measures needed industry. These described paper, along obstacles be overcome not only this but pursue objectives outlined development goals.

Plastic is ubiquitously present in the environment due to its low biodegradability. Microplastics (MPs) are degraded form of plastic having a diameter ranging from 0.1 µm 5 mm. The review aims sum up MP pollution aquatic ecosystems India assess probable effects MPs organisms, and find out possible remedies remove MPs. In India, concentrations were found maximum surface sediment estuarine ecosystem water sample Hooghly River. Maximum MPs-based works focused on ocean, sea, systems southern states India. Once entering soil sediment, cause detrimental health living beings. Generally, combined remediation methods exhibited better removal efficiency. Some microbial bioremediators effectively being used for systems. This study will be useful making precise decisions regarding strengthening law control pollution, promoting regular monitoring Indian systems, implementing process. It not only save our exposure but also improve standards status people developing countries.
