Water scarcity is a challenging global risk. Urban wastewater treatment technologies, which utilize processes based on single-stage ultrafiltration (UF) or nanofiltration (NF), have the potential to offer lean-and-green cost-effective solutions. Robustifying effectiveness of water complex multidimensional characteristic problem. In this study, non-linear Taguchi-type orthogonal-array (OA) sampler enriched with an emergent stigmergic clustering procedure conduct screening/optimization multiple UF/NF aquametric performance metrics. The stochastic solver employs Databionic swarm intelligence routine classify resulting multi-response dataset. Next, cluster separation measure, Davies–Bouldin index, used evaluate input and output relationships. self-organized bionic-classifier data-partition appropriateness matched for signatures between memberships OA factorial vector sequences. To illustrate proposed methodology, recently-published multifactorial L9(34) OA-planned experiments from two interesting UF-/NF-membrane are examined. seven UF-membrane process characteristics six NF-membrane tested (1) in relationship four controlling factors (2) synchronously individual curvatures. results compared other ordinary methods their performances discussed. unsupervised robust bionic prediction reveals that permeate flux influences both performances. For UF three-cluster model, index was minimized at values 1.89 1.27 centroid medoid centrotypes, respectively. NF two-cluster centrotypes close 0.4, fairly self-validation value. advantage data-centric engineering scheme relies its capability, retraces fractional rigid structure and, hence, it may become useful screening optimizing small-data operating conditions.

Abstract Composite membranes with asymmetric traits have gained attention in liquid separation, featuring gradient chemical and physical attributes that align or oppose mass transfer direction. Chemically configurations harness internal driving forces to heighten separation efficiency, rendering them an appealing option for heightened efficiency fouling prevention. Concurrently, the hierarchical structure differences within composite membranes—such as fiber‐based structural adjustments density of functional layers—yield dual benefits effective repelling transport efficiency. Unlike conventional phase‐change methods, electrospinning technology possesses advantages constructing governing fibrous membrane materials chemistry structures, driven by its adaptable stacking methodologies. Notably, inherent pore electrospun nanofibrous emerges a proven solution minimizing resistance. In recent times, interest has surged endowed properties. However, spotlight predominantly graced Janus membranes, spotlighting opposite wettability on different sides, leaving other facets enhancement somewhat underexplored. This comprehensive work unveils strides design, fabrication, facilitated mechanisms, real‐world applications, all under aegis nanofiber each distinct
