Hydroxyapatite can combine with polysaccharide originating biomaterials special applications in the biomedical field. In this review, synthesis of (nano)composites is discussed, focusing on natural polysaccharides such as alginate, chitosan, and pectin. way, advances recent years development preparing materials are revised discussed. Therefore, an overview polyssacharides@hydroxyapatites presented. Several studies based chitosan@hydroxyapatite combined other inorganic matrices highlighted, while pectin@hydroxyapatite present a smaller number reports. Biomedical drug carriers, adsorbents, bone implants combining their dependence nature interactions molecular scale type used, which relevant aspect to be explored.

In this paper, we present the development of magnesium-doped hydroxyapatite in chitosan matrix (MHA_Ch) powder by an adapted coprecipitation method. The MHA_Ch was then deposited as thin layers radio frequency magnetron sputtering. were exposed to various irradiation doses and immersed Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM) for time intervals. We report, first time, effects DMEM on irradiated a matrix. surface morphology before after immersion evaluated SEM, AFM, MM studies. Additionally, data about functional groups changes induced exposure obtained FTIR vitro biological assays conducted using MG63 cell line (ATCC CRL1427). Our results suggest that may be suitable candidates applications biomedical domain.
