Phosphorus (P) is a crucial factor influencing both plant growth and the enrichment of aquatic environment. Agriculture primary sector economy where demand for phosphorus highest. Due to depletion P, more attention being paid possibility recovering reusing P through idea circular (CE). The main objective this study was compare raw eggshells (R-ESs) calcined (C-ESs) removal from wastewater assess possible use agro-waste materials according CE requirements in non-flow conditions. A synthetic indicator, zeroed unitarization method, calculated evaluate critical aspects CE. sorption R-ESs C-ESs equaled 0.90 1.66 mgP-PO4/g an initial concentration 17.3 mgP-PO4/L. were characterized by almost two times higher reduction rate than R-ESs. indicator 0.89 0.72 C-ESs, respectively. This means that are sustainable C-ESs. Although potentially have significant environmental impact, it worth considering method elimination beneficial ecological perspective.

Abstract Québec is transitioning to a circular economy (CE) by promoting the implementation of CE strategies, such as remanufacturing. However, adoption remanufacturing practices achieve sustainable in an enterprise demanding and highly challenging. It requires balancing economic, environmental, social dimensions, guaranteeing products’ remanufacturability system circularity along closed-loop supply chains (CLSC). Key performance indicators (KPI) emerge decision-support tools for decision-makers control enhance performance. Nevertheless, multidimensional nature makes it challenging determine suitable KPIs employ. Therefore, this study performs systematic literature review identify main its scope CLSC. A total 100 documents from Scopus database were analyzed reveal most frequently used 42 key (KPI), categorized 25 14 3 social-related indicators. The distributed among different CLSC actors, providing insights on selection useful consider each actor.

The rising concern about climate change and other challenges faced by the planet led society to look for different design solutions approaches towards a more balanced relationship between built natural environment. circular economy is an effective alternative linear economic model inspired metabolisms use of resources. This research explores how innovative strategies can be integrated evaluating local urban industrial wastes into sustainable building materials. A literature review conducted focusing on strategies, re-use, recycle, waste transformation processes. Then, methodology selection upcycled re-used materials developed based Ashby’s method. total thirty-five types partition walls, which include plastic, wood, paper, steel, aluminium, agricultural wastes, are evaluated using multi-criteria decision aid (M-MACBETH). Among these solutions, ten walls show high-performance thermal sound isolation, fourteen coating, two exhibit structural reliability. Regardless their functional limitations, proposed bear great potential within construction industry.

Abstract This study examines the effects of heightened awareness circular economy (CE) principles on individuals' evaluations sustainable development within Brazil's resource‐rich yet environmentally challenged context. Employing social learning theory (SLT) as our theoretical framework, we investigate how increased knowledge CE influences cognitive perceptions, enhancing their understanding and favourable assessment practices. Data were collected through a nationwide survey general public, incorporating five dimensions: waste management, rational use resources, technical cycle, products/packaging dematerialization/collaborative consumption. Our results reveal that deeper significantly improves positive concerning environment, future generations' survival, socio‐economic engagement between people institutions in These are indicative shift perception precedes may catalyse behaviours, suggesting is critical precursor to actionable change. The confirms SLT effectively elucidates bidirectional complex interaction cognition evaluation environmental contexts, thereby enriching practices can be adopted promoted. implications research profound, educational policy interventions aimed at increasing could substantially impact outcomes.
