The global urban expansion, with over half the population in areas, presents interconnected challenges such as pollution, poverty, inequality, ageing infrastructure, resource overconsumption, land use changes, biodiversity impact climate change. In this article, we analyze the role of social capital in formation sustainable energy communities. Specifically, study impact different dimensions (i.e., structural, relational, cognitive) determining willingness to participate an community.
