This paper review explores the role of LNG in context global carbon neutrality efforts. It examines various aspects such as current state usage, its environmental impacts, technological advancements, regulatory frameworks, and challenges opportunities associated with integration into energy mix. Through a comprehensive analysis, this aims to provide insights how project management principles can facilitate effective implementation projects support transition towards carbon-neutral future. The economy is an imperative challenge 21st century, necessitating profound shift systems practices. At forefront transition, liquefied natural gas (LNG) has emerged potential bridge fuel, offering pathway decarburization. delves multifaceted within efforts, examining implications, opportunities. shed light on effectively LNG's emergence fuel stems from relatively lower intensity compared other fossil fuels. As nations strive reduce greenhouse emissions meet their commitments under Paris Agreement, presents opportunity mitigate climate change while addressing security economic development objectives. However, nuanced understanding requires thorough examination dimensions. Firstly, usage underscores growing significance landscape. With trade reaching record highs recent years, countries are increasingly turning needs. Major LNG-producing Qatar, Australia, United States have invested liquefaction infrastructure, enabling export markets around world. Additionally, utilized across diverse sectors, including power generation, industrial processes, transportation, residential heating, highlighting versatility applicability. Despite benefits, not without impacts. extraction, production, transportation gas, primary component LNG, result methane emissions, potent gas. In conclusion, economy.
