Abstract Motivated by the growing attention on climate change, this study provides an up‐to‐date and comprehensive systematic literature review (SLR) small‐ medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) carbon footprint reduction initiatives green jobs. Based datasets from databases that include Web of Science, Scopus, ProQuest Google Scholar, we conducted a SLR 70 published articles spanning 2012 to 2022. Using VOSviewer InfraNodus, bibliographic cluster analysis revealed existence three clusters namely; role job human resource management in SMEs (cluster 1); innovation, Initiatives, strategy circular economy 2); initiatives, performance, emission 3).
