Abstract Context. Raingardens are being retrofitted in cities worldwide to contribute urban sustainability and resilience. They must function both technically aesthetically. Although technical design guidelines for raingardens available, aesthetic limited. Objectives. Understanding how aesthetically experienced can inform their management optimise acceptance when into streetscapes. Four types of experience landscapes described the literature. which type applies raingarden perception guidelines. Methods. As part a broader study Melbourne, Australia, using mixed methods, survey focus group data were analysed quantitatively qualitatively reveal perceptual experiences, either directly or by inference. Results. Scenic ecological aesthetics, aesthetics care knowledge, attachment identity identified. A fifth aesthetic, initially considered as affordance, emerged from analysis. affordance underpins all landscape this experience, relating person’s ability use landscape, is named an function. Design proposed accommodate different experiences streetscapes with appreciation acceptance. Conclusions. Landscape assessment preference has dominated This suggests that perceived affordances drive perceptible realm. The campus landscape contributes a lot to students’ mental and physical health. Students’ emotional attachment space is an important scientific basis for design. This study used immersive virtual reality eye tracking supported by HTC Vivo Pro scale investigate the relationship between different elements visual behavior attachment. ErgoLab SPSS were analyze indicators. results showed that: (1) Artificial more likely attract attention continuously enhance their interest in landscape. (2) waterscape was attention, while attractiveness of arbors shrubs related color spatial location. (3) characteristics nature generally conducive establishment attachment, including both natural artificial structures that could reflect texture time traces. (4) Three-dimensional sequence design significantly affected focus experience. further contribute providing clearer understanding how preference specific can be obtained decision making planning management during renewal

Introduction The interplay between motor skills and emotions in the brain represents a significant longstanding research question. Recently, posturography has provided new insights into this subject. Understanding biological processes that influence appreciation of nature landscapes is also crucial concern, prompting various experimental methods theoretical frameworks. This aimed to propose, for first time, use study different ways postural control modulated by visual perception pleasant scenes. Methods A total 37 participants (27 females, 10 males; mean age = 24 years ±5 years) were shown images neutral landscapes, while posturographic data collected. Two viewing conditions employed: passive vision active vision, where instructed envision themselves presented Results results indicated differential modulation response based on valence factors (pleasant vs. neutral) mental simulation (passive active). Notably, differences approach-avoidance behavior observed approximately 7 s after onset stimulus viewing. Discussion findings are discussed relation major theories environmental psychology, highlighting central role emotional embodiment appreciating scenes related behaviors.

The positive impact of urban green space on human mental health and well-being has become a consensus in the fields environment research. Due to increasing pressure faced by contemporary university students worsening crises, campus space, as particular type have received attention.
