In the current era of high environmental uncertainty, advancement green technologies has led to innovative practices in manufacturing sector, becoming preferred approach for achieving sustainable development today’s business markets. Manufacturing firms require innovation improve their performance and monitor operations effectively, but adoption implementation these innovations is still low among industries. To bridge this gap, a study was conducted using resource-based view (RBV) theory technology–organization–environment (TOE) framework develop validate model that encourages adopt innovation. This study examines how environmental regulation (ER), green intellectual capital (GIC), human resource management (GHRM), and ambidextrous innovation (GAI) contribute to enhancing the sustainable performance (SP) of manufacturing firms. Using a quantitative approach, data from 472 managers garment firms in Bangladesh were analyzed with SmartPLS4 software. The results indicate that GHRM GIC positively impact SP, exerting stronger influence on GAI—encompassing exploitative (EIGI) exploratory (ERGI)—compared GHRM. Additionally, GAI affects SP serves as partial mediator GIC-SP relationship but not GHRM-SP relationship. ER negatively moderates GHRM-GAI links, while it GIC-GAI relationship, albeit weakly connection. highlights GAI’s mediating roles (specifically, GHRM-EIGI-SP GHRM-ERGI-SP) GIC-EIGI-SP GIC-ERGI-SP) relationships within regulatory context.
