Objective: This study has been aligned with the 12th SDG “responsible consumption & production” which aimed to investigate how managerial pressures mediate association among external pressures, such as institutional stakeholder motives, and implementation of corporate sustainability initiatives by tourist hotels in Sri Lanka. Theoretical Framework: In this particular study, three main theories have utilized namely, theory, motives. It investigated, motives adoption hotels. Greenwashing has become a pervasive phenomenon in the tourism and hospitality sector, posing significant challenges potential reputational damage to green hotels. Despite its prevalence, research on mitigating greenwashing’s influence guest trust behavior remains limited. This study addresses this gap by investigating moderating roles of authenticity (GA) transparency (GTR) relationship between greenwashing (GT), ultimately influencing patronage intentions (PI) towards Employing quantitative approach, utilized questionnaire survey administered 309 participants, capturing their experiences with Subsequent structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis Smart PLS 4 confirmed several key findings.
