This study explores the efficacy of batik tulis (written) for introducing and preserving local cultural heritage in early childhood education. Conducted at TK Batik PPBI Yogyakarta, this qualitative research utilized observations, interviews, documentation to assess how batik-making activities influence awareness among preschoolers. Results reveal that introduction process familiarizes children with art form instills a profound appreciation traditions. The educational methodology was designed be age-appropriate interactive, integrating safety measures encouraging active participation throughout all stages learning—from understanding significance hands-on crafting. findings highlight pivotal role elements into education cultivate long-lasting knowledge heritage. approach not only aids preservation but also enriches experience, fostering generation values understands its roots. However, study's limited scope, focused on single setting, suggests need further research.
