In this study, the histopathological and ultrastructural alterations in brain tissue of Oreochromis niloticus (Linnaeus, 1758) exposed to a sublethal concentration diazinon standard for 21 days were determined. For purpose, O. individuals 280 µg/L (LC50/10) on 7th, 14th 21st exposure, samples these removed. After histological preparations samples, prepared evaluated with light transmission electron microscopes (TEM). Examination indicated that dose induced modifications niloticus. The severity was increased duration time. most severe alteration necrosis determined exposure. However, histopathologically frequent changes cloudy swelling, hypertrophy pycnotic nucleus glial cells brain. Ultrastructurally, mitochondrial degeneration, cristolysis, axon dendrite deformations seen tissues. These findings showed disturbed energy metabolism which might result neurodegenerative dysfunction

The unfettered discharge of untreated pharmaceutical effluent into water bodies poses severe menace to aquatic ecosystem. conventional approaches found be ineffectual in treating due certain issues such as lack eco-friendliness, cost extensive, also sludge is formed which further increases the expenditure for processing. In context developing nations, effectiveness and environmental sustainability vermifiltration technology make it an ideal alternative wastewater treatment techniques. current exploration was devised appraise effect treated fish Channa punctata through biochemical, histopathological, ultrastructural ATR-FTIR analysis. Considerably augmented alterations biochemical parameters (MDA, SOD, CAT GST) liver, gill kidney tissues were scrutinized group. After 45 days exposure, 4.35, 4.19 3.89 folds hike MDA content noticed group respectively contrast control Histopathological examination unveiled exhibited numerous distortions liver (necrosis, vacuolization, hepatocyte degeneration), (disintegration primary lamellae, upliftment epithelial layer, fusion secondary lamellae) degenerated constricted glomerulus) tissues. Scanning electron microscopy reiterated anomalies perceived histopathological investigation. Further, analysis presented more biomolecular exposed On contrary, fewer implies its less toxic nature. outcomes study concluded that trustworthy, economic sustainable different industrial effluents.
