Infants and toddlers are highly sensitive to contaminants in food. Chronic exposure can lead developmental delays, disorders of the nervous, urinary immune systems, cardiovascular disease. A literature review was conducted mainly PubMed, Google Scholar Scopus databases, took into consideration papers published from October 2020 March 2021. We focused on contaminant content, intake estimates, most commonly found foods consumed by infants children aged 0.5-3 years. In review, we included 83 publications with full access. Contaminants that pose a high health risk toxic elements, acrylamide, bisphenol, pesticide residues. Minor pollutants include: dioxins, mycotoxins, nitrates nitrites, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. order reduce negative effects food contamination, it seems reasonable educate parents limit potentially dangerous for young children. An appropriate varied diet, selected cooking techniques, proper preparation increase likelihood consume safe their health. It is necessary monitor adhere standards at every stage production, improve quality

Reproductive organs are essential not only for the life of an individual but also survival and development species. The response reproductive to toxic substances differs from that other target organs, they may serve as ideal “barometer” deleterious effects environmental pollution on animal human health. incidence infertility, cancers, associated maladies has increased in last fifty years or more, while various anthropogenic activities have released into environment numerous substances, including cadmium, lead, mercury. Data epidemiological studies suggested exposure mercury produced developmental toxicity. present review focused experimental using rats, mice, avian, rabbits demonstrate unambiguously structure function organs. In addition, relevant discussed. reviewed indicated testis ovary particularly sensitive because these distinguished by intense cellular activity, where vital processes spermatogenesis, oogenesis, folliculogenesis occur. ovaries, manifestation toxicity induced included decreased follicular growth, occurrence atresia, degeneration corpus luteum, alterations cycle. testes, following seminiferous tubules, testicular stroma, decrease spermatozoa count, motility viability, aberrant morphology.

Heavy metals, pervasive in the environment due to natural processes and human activities, pose substantial threats ecosystems health. This study aims delve into sources, contamination pathways waters, subsequent bioaccumulation of heavy metals across various organisms. The overview encompasses an exploration environmental persistence, dynamics, ecotoxicological impacts these metals. Methodologically, this research undertakes a comprehensive review synthesizing existing literature studies on metal contamination, mechanisms, ecotoxicity. Key findings highlight protracted persistence perpetuating significant ecological balance well-being. Notably, transfer through food chains culminates their diverse organisms, raising concerns about potential toxicity, including exposure. discussion underscores imperative nature assessing pollution its ramifications Emphasizing essential role bioindicators biomarkers, article elucidates significance evaluating metal-induced stressors impact both biota populations. contributes nuanced understanding advocating for proactive measures monitoring mitigating deleterious effects

Environmental exposure to cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) is independently associated with increased risks of type 2 diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. The aim this study was examine the effects concurrent these toxic metals on diabetes functional impairment. Cd Pb levels among subjects were low moderate, evident from means for blood concentrations ([Cd]b [Pb]b) 0.59 µg/L 4.67 µg/dL, respectively. Of 176 (mean age 60), 71 (40.3%) had abnormally high fasting plasma glucose levels. Based their [Cd]b [Pb]b, 53, 71, 52 assigned profiles 1, 2, 3, diagnosis by 4.2-fold in those an profile 3 (p = 0.002), 2.9-fold estimated glomerular filtration (eGFR) ≤ 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 0.029). prevalence odds ratio (POR) albuminuria 5-fold above threshold 180 mg/dL 0.014), 3.1-fold eGFR) 0.050). Collectively, findings suggest that equally impact function risk.
