Cyanobacterial Harmful Algal Blooms (CyanoHABs) occur when colonies of photosynthetic bacteria called cyanobacteria grow out control, usually in warm, nutrient-rich, slow-moving waters. They are becoming increasingly prevalent around the world and release harmful toxins cyanotoxins into bodies water, which negatively affect human ecological health. One such cyanotoxin is microcystin, with microcystin-leucine arginine (MC-LR) being most widespread. Exposure to MC-LR inhibits serine threonine protein phosphatase 1 2A humans, causing a myriad health problems. Fortunately, certain naturally occurring may be able degrade reverse its effects. Mice were separated five experimental groups based on three types pre-treatments (control drinking water/vehicle, probiotic-supplemented heat-inactivated water) as well two exposures (microcystin-LR water/vehicle). RNA was extracted from kidneys for sequencing because exacerbates kidney disease. Gene expression data analyzed 3 Pod Reports, an R package that produces three-part report consisting Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA), EnrichR, integrative LINCS (iLINCS). exposure associated upregulated cellular respiration metabolism pathways downregulated transcription pathways. The proliferation of microplastics (μP) in aquatic environments poses a significant threat to ecosystem health, with repercussions extending organisms and potentially human health. In this study, we investigated the efficacy novel biosurfactant-microplastic (BSμP) hybrid reducing vivo green bio-toxicity induced by oxidative stress apoptosis zebrafish (Danio rerio). Microplastics, ubiquitous environments, were hybridised Biosurfactant evaluate their potential mitigating effects. A stable BSμP was formed zeta -10.3 ± 1.5 mV. Exposure embryos μP resulted increased markers, including elevated levels reactive oxygen species apoptosis, as evidenced expression apoptotic markers morphological changes embryonic zebrafish. However, significantly ameliorated observed toxic effects reduced activity. This effect deduced intrinsic hybridisation, which likely mitigated bioavailability toxicity molecular interaction metabolic proteins like Sod1 p53 through less accumulation internalisation. Overall, our findings highlight promising approach for ecological impacts microplastic pollution.

Abstract Bacterial resistance to conventional antibiotics has become a massive problem for healthcare systems. This could result in serious consequences treating bacterial infections, including treatment failure. In turn, drug promoted the development of more effective antibacterial agents. Niosomes are considered efficient agents enhancement activity antibiotics. Herein, Coumarin‐triazole hybrid (CAT) niosomes were developed and evaluated against extensively drug‐resistant Salmonella enterica (XDR S. ). The Cefixime‐loaded CAT niosomal vesicle average particle size was 342 ± 3 nm, with zeta potential −28 2.0 mV. vesicles showed prominent entrapment efficiency 74% 3%. A blood hemolytic assay revealed no hemolysis occurred. exhibited reduced cytotoxic effect NIH/3T3 normal mouse fibroblast cells, at maximum concentration 1000 μg/mL. However, MIC 50 empty Cefixime loaded XDR observed 250 125 μgmL −1 , respectively, indicating that lowered by two‐fold. Topographical atomic force microscopy (AFM) images exposure efficiently damaged cell membrane resulting leaking scattering.

This study assessed the impact of silica exposure on 145 mine workers in Mianwali, Punjab, Pakistan, compared to 45 non-exposed individuals. Pulmonary function tests revealed significantly reduced lung exposed (P < 0.05), with declines Forced Expiratory Volume one second (FEV1), Vital Capacity (FVC), FEV1/FVC ratio, Peak Flow, and Flow at 25-75% FVC (FEF25-75). Radiological evaluations confirmed extensive damage including pleural effusion, reticular shadowing, consolidation. Oxidative stress markers demonstrated increased lipid peroxidation, Fenton's Stress, Stress Index along antioxidant enzyme activities, Catalase, Superoxide Dismutase, Total Antioxidant Capacity, Glutathione Peroxidase. Hematological analysis showed elevated White Blood Cells, Lymphocyte percentage, Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, Mean Corpuscular Volume, Hemoglobin reflecting systemic inflammation. Silica's piezoelectric properties contributed oxidative cellular damage, exacerbating pulmonary dysfunction. These findings highlight as a severe occupational hazard, causing irreversible impairment imbalance. Implementing strict safety protocols, personal protective measures, regular health monitoring is crucial safeguarding workers.

Abstract Objective In aquaculture, medicinal plants and their derivatives serve as potent natural boosters for the immune system effective stress relievers aquatic organisms. This study explored how neem plant (NP) Azadirachta indica leaves extract influenced antioxidant capacity of Rohu Labeo rohita. Methods The sample included 240 healthy fingerlings, averaging 22.54 ± 0.82 g in weight, divided randomly into four groups, each containing triplicates 20 fish per glass aquarium. control group (NP0) received a standard diet without additives, whereas other groups were fed NP-infused diets at concentrations 2 g/kg (NP2), 4 (NP4), 6 (NP6) over 60-d period. After this feeding trial, exposed to Aeromonas hydrophila assess response survival rates calculated. Results findings revealed that relative group, NP4 exhibited significantly (P < 0.05) higher levels lysozyme activity both serum mucus. Peroxidase was elevated NP6 although difference not statistically significant. However, peroxidase mucus group. Additionally, immunoglobulin, total protein, ACH50 considerably protease, protein Enzymatic activities such catalase, superoxide dismutase, glutathione dehydrogenase than control. rate followed by NP4. Conclusions conclusion, suggest NP holds potential immunostimulant aquaculture.
