This study focused on designing an ultra-wideband metamaterial absorber, consisting of layers Mn (manganese) and MoO3 (molybdenum trioxide) arranged in a planar interleaving pattern, with matrix square-shaped Ti (titanium) the top layer. Key features this research included novel use configuration for which was rarely explored previous studies. thin film served as fundamental material, leveraging its favorable optical properties absorption capabilities infrared spectrum. Alternating were adjusted thickness order to optimize absorptivity across desired wavelength ranges. Another feature is that materials investigated absorber had structure, simplified manufacturing absorber. Furthermore, topmost layer strategically placed enhance absorber’s bandwidth efficiency. When lacked layer, significantly decreased. structural design leveraged Mn, MoO3, expand range height 280 nm, exhibited greater than 0.9, spanning from near-infrared (0.80 μm) mid-infrared (9.07 μm). The average 0.950 maximum 0.989. Additionally, three peaks observed at 1010, 2510, 6580 nm. broad capability makes it suitable variety applications, ranging wavelengths, including thermal imaging sensing.

Multi-pulse dynamic patterns have been experimentally documented in a passively mode-locked (PML) erbium-doped fiber (EDF) laser using an Sb2S3-PVA saturable absorber (SA). The fundamental mode-locking operation, with repetition rate of ∼3.22 MHz, pulse width ∼2.5 ps, signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) ∼50 dB and peak power over 200 W, was achieved under pump from 280 to 360 mW appropriate polarization states introduced by the controllers (PCs). By rotating orientation intra-cavity PCs carefully slowly at 350 mW, it found that multi-pulse bunch transformed gradually single-pulse twelve-pulse bunch, several intermediate transition bunches being observed. In addition, other characteristic modes including disordered multi-pulses soliton rains observed meticulously adjusting mW. Our systematic study clearly demonstrates Sb2S3has potential as effective SA for generating different operation PML anomalous-dispersion EDF lasers.
