Objective Despite the overwhelming evidence for profound and longstanding effects of early‐life stress (ELS) on inflammation, brain structure, molecular aging, its impact human aging risk neurodegenerative disease is poorly understood. We examined ELS severity in interaction with age blood‐based markers neuroinflammation neurodegeneration, volumes, cognitive function middle‐aged women. Methods recruited 179 women (aged 30–60 years) without exposure before onset puberty. Using Simoa technology, we assessed including serum concentrations glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) neurofilament light chain (NfL). further obtained T1‐weighted T2‐weighted magnetic resonance images to assess volumes performance sensitive early impairments associated development dementia, using Cambridge Neuropsychological Automated Test Battery. used generalized additive models examine nonlinear these outcomes. Results Analyses revealed significant NfL GFAP concentrations, total subcortical gray matter volume loss, increased third ventricular volume, impairment. Interpretation These findings suggest that profoundly exacerbates peripheral, neurostructural, aging. Recent literature has suggested that individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or autistic traits (ATs) would be more likely to encounter traumatic events in their lifetime and develop post-traumatic stress (PTSD). However, the nature of this relationship not yet been fully elucidated. The aims study were evaluate between AT PTSD investigate which specific dimension was associated trauma stress-related symptoms.

Childhood sexual abuse (CSA) is a prevalent form of violence against children, associated with profound negative impacts on survivors’ health and well-being. In Bangladesh, sociocultural economic barriers hinder CSA prevention intervention, particularly for vulnerable populations such as transgender individuals. This study explores the experiences among Bangladeshi individuals, focusing their coping mechanisms resilience-building strategies. A qualitative narrative approach was employed, using life story-telling interviews four survivors, data were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal significant challenges, including social exclusion, humiliation, lack family support. Participants reported experiencing physical injuries, mental trauma, loss trust due to CSA, while conservative nature society often prevented them from disclosing or seeking healthcare. These exacerbate inequalities gender-minority children. Despite these adversities, participants described engaging in strategies self-care, personal development, advocacy, efforts derive meaning experiences, highlighting perceived importance provides insights into unique survivors Bangladesh calls towards gender-inclusive education, support, further research address CSA-related adversity, encourage disclosure, promote equity groups.

Road traffic accidents can have profound psychological impacts on the individuals involved, encompassing both negative distress and positive growth. This study, guided by conservation of resources (COR) theory, investigates intricate relationship between posttraumatic growth (PTG), maladaptive cognitive schemas, in involved road accidents. PTG reflects an individual's ability to derive changes from adversity, while schemas represent patterns. Using a 122 sample accidents, we examined direct indirect effects within this complex network. Our findings reveal significant (β = 0.101, p 0.02). Particularly noteworthy are mediated emphasizing role impaired autonomy perceived performance deficiencies 0.102, 0.05). suggests that experiencing higher levels may indirectly experience greater through these schemas. study not only advances our understanding consequences but also aligns with self-determination competence as fundamental needs. Individuals undergo shifts perspective following trauma, which results support. Recognizing nuanced PTG, is crucial for tailoring interventions support systems As coexist distress, should foster adaptive addressing promote resilience face traumatic events.
