Published: Jan. 1, 2025

Cellular long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to participate in diverse biological pathways, including the regulation of virus infections. However, their functions hepatitis B (HBV) life cycle still need be explored. Here, we conducted a loss-of-function screen targeting 1779 human lncRNAs and identified 19 associated with HBV infection. One lncRNA, named MAPKAPK5-AS1 (lnc-MAAS), was as host factor required for Our data suggest that lnc-MAAS is involved conversion relaxed circular DNA into covalently closed (cccDNA). Furthermore, mechanistic experiments revealed affects cccDNA formation by modulating expression nucleic acid binding protein 1 (NABP1). Together, our findings shed light on roles NABP1 formation, which may contribute development novel anti-HBV therapeutics.

The oral epithelium, a dynamic interface constantly facing environmental challenges, relies on intricate molecular pathways to maintain its homeostasis. This comprehensive review delves into the nuanced interplay between T-lymphocytic cells (T cells) and RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) within elucidating their roles in orchestrating immune responses influencing tissue plasticity. By synthesizing current knowledge, we aim unravel intricacies that govern this interplay, with focus potential therapeutic implications for health diseases. Understanding regulatory networks shaped by T RBPs epithelial microenvironment holds promise innovative strategies managing conditions associated dysfunction.

Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) HOTAIR acts importantly in liver cancer development, but its effect on radioresistance remains poorly understood. Here, our study probed into the possible impact of stem cells (LCSCs) and to elucidate molecular basis.Following sorting non-stem cells, LCSCs were identified subjected RNA-seq analysis for selecting differentially expressed genes. Expression was determined tissues CSCs. The stemness, proliferation, apoptosis then detected response altered expression HOTAIR-LSD1-JMJD6-BRD4.Ectopic found promote by maintaining stemness. Mechanistic investigations indicated that recruited LSD1 MAPK1 promoter region reduced level H3K9me2 region, thus elevating ERK2 (MAPK1) expression. JMJD6-BRD4 complex promoted transcription forming a positively regulated expression, stemness LCSCs, ultimately promoting their vitro vivo.Collectively, work highlights through HOTAIR-dependent mechanism.

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are major components of cellular transcripts that emerging as important players in various biological pathways. Due to their specific expression and functional diversity a variety cancers, lncRNAs have promising applications cancer diagnosis, prognosis, therapy. Studies shown lncRNA DiGeorge syndrome critical region gene 5 (DGCR5) with high specificity accuracy has the potential become biomarkers cancers. LncRNA DGCR5 can be noninvasively extracted from body fluids, tissues, cells, used independent or auxiliary improve diagnosis prognosis. Now, underlying mechanisms such were explored therapeutic targets, which been investigated clinical trials several The lacks an appropriate animal model, is necessary gain greater knowledge functions. While some studies on uses carried out, small sample size makes them unreliable. In this review, we presented compilation recent publications addressing could considered hopes providing promised implications for future
