Background: The Alangium Lam. belongs to the Alangiaceae family and contains over 30 species. Researchers have identified 300 phytochemicals from these species, including alkaloids, glycosides, terpenes, lignans, flavonoids, steroids. However, there is no review of antitumor properties genus, subsequent information on mechanism its action not comprehensive enough. Methods: This article reviews previous studies obtained various sources, CNKI, PubMed, Google Scholar, Connected Paper, chemical abstracts service (CAS). Results: Among compounds, 85 been found possess anti-tumor properties, mainly terpenes. will provide new insights a broader perspective for future research effects chemicals their mechanisms within this plant genus.
