For over a decade, the United Arab Emirates has used English as medium of instruction in government schools. Previous research concluded that lack proficiency can make learning Science and Math difficult for students; however, on students' experiences challenges they face this area is limited. Therefore, study explores views regarding English. The employed mixed methods approach using survey with 236 students from 2 large school districts Abu Dhabi, qualitative data collected through interviews 9 high-school students. found valued English, were aware teaching limitations current system, believed adopted exam-based system impeded Science, learning, preferred multimodal resources learning. Many encountered various while studying including difficulties pertaining to type received their language. This calls educational policymakers consider when designing curricula assessments.

The Blackboard learning management system (LMS) is one of the online platforms for teaching a range subjects. This study explores perceptions English as Foreign Language (EFL) instructors regarding language skills. It also identifies advantages and disadvantages compared to face-to-face (F2F) instruction. To collect data, employed convergent/parallel mixed-methods (QUAN-QUAL approach) design. First, total 47 from Saudi university participated in completing 7-item closed-ended questionnaire. Then, 14 teachers provided feedback through an open-ended questionnaire on pros cons versus Data analysis techniques included descriptive statistics thematic comparing results. findings demonstrate that EFL have mixed responses. They favor effective medium listening, reading, speaking, pronunciation. However, they suggest writing grammar skills are taught better. research contributes understanding LMS with its implications instruction inform decision-making processes.
