Sleep disorders have become increasingly prevalent, with many adults worldwide reporting sleep dissatisfaction. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and Bipolar (BD) are common conditions associated disrupted patterns such as insomnia hypersomnolence. These significantly affect the progression, severity, treatment, outcome of unipolar bipolar depression. While there is evidence a connection between depression, it remains unclear if features differ MDD BD. In light this, this narrative review aims to: (1) summarize findings on like hypersomnolence, strongly linked to BD; (2) propose novel psychometric approach assess in individuals depressive disorders. Introduction This study explored the complex relationship between anxiety, depression, compassion fatigue, and satisfaction among long-term care (LTC) workers following COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, assessed psychometric properties of Professional Quality Life (ProQOL) scale, to ensure a reliable valid instrument for identifying fatigue in Serbian healthcare system. Methods A cross-sectional was conducted across LTC facilities Republic Serbia. ProQOL administered physicians, nurses, aids, measure (including burnout secondary traumatic stress) satisfaction. The standardized instruments were also distributed: Secondary Traumatic Stress Scale (STSS), Depression Anxiety 21 (DASS-21) 12-Item Short-Form Health 36 Survey (SF-12). Results total 300 participated, mostly women (86.3%), with an average age 45.4 ± 10.5 years median work experience 15 (range: 1 42 years). reported significant presence anxiety depression symptoms (53.3% 43.3%, respectively), experiencing moderate levels as indicated by (58.3%) stress (57.3%) subscales, or high (49.0% 50.0%, respectively). demonstrated that impacts both directly indirectly (p<0.05). Specifically, mediated positive effect on indicating increased led higher lower satisfaction, which resulted greater three-factor structure validated (IFI, TLI, CFI above cut-off ≥0.95, RMSEA below suggested value ≤ 0.06). Cronbach α three subscales 0.8, good scale reliability. Conclusion contributes broader literature wellbeing examining interplay professional quality life, depression. findings should guide decision-makers developing targeted interventions policies promote psychological resilience well-being workers, thereby enhancing individual organizational outcomes sector.

Abstract Background At an individual level, physician resilience protects against burnout and its known negative effects on physicians, patient safety, quality of care. However, it remains uncertain whether also correlates with maintaining a high level healthcare during crises such as pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic caused critical mental health issues and lifestyle disruptions. aim of this study was to explore, during the lockdown second-wave contagions in Italy, how stress affected by dispositional (personality factors intolerance uncertainty) behavioral (coping strategies) dimensions, these variables differed among sex, age, educational, professional, groups, various changes work daily routine intervened psychological impact emergency. Our results highlight that women, youngs, students/trainees, those with chronic diseases, who stopped their jobs due restrictions, left home less than twice a week were more stressed, while professionals showed lower levels same construct. Those higher used coping strategies based on avoidance, which positively correlated agreeableness, conscientiousness, uncertainty, negatively openness. Stress also seeking social support, openness, positive attitude, transcendent orientation. Finally, predicted mainly dimensions. are discussed framed within literature, as important insights for targeted intervention promote even emergencies.

Abstract: Compassion fatigue (CF), or loss of ability to empathize feel compassion for others whom one cares, is a growing concern emergency physicians (EP). EPs, by the nature their jobs, work under unpredictable conditions at odd hours with high levels exposure traumatic events. They are placed substantial psychological, physical, and cognitive pressure, little opportunity recover reflect. CF occurs when this workplace stress leads feelings being overwhelmed, helpless, unsupported, unable cope. Objective: To evaluate the professional quality of life in healthcare workers during covid-19 pandemic Mexico. Methods: an analytical cross-sectional study conducted clinical and administrative a Primary care level unit. assess managerial support, workload, intrinsic motivation Professional Quality Life questionnaire (qpl-35) was applied.
