Dietary modification is a cornerstone and primary goal for weight loss, whose effects may be related to epigenetic phenomena. In this literature review, comprehensive search without time restriction was performed in PubMed/Medline, Cochrane, SciELO, Scopus databases identify signatures obesity outcomes upon dietary advice. context, experimental studies clinical trials have identified certain DNA methylation marks, miRNA expression profiles histone modifications putatively associated with adiposity after different nutritional interventions. These include traditional patterns, diets macronutrient compositions, supplementation fatty acids, amino acids derivatives, methyl donors, vitamins minerals, probiotics prebiotics, bioactive food compounds. Some of these been mapped genes involved intake control, adipogenesis, lipolysis, acid oxidation, body fat deposition, gut microbiota modulation. However, additional are still required address dosage follow-up variability, validation genome-wide approaches, appropriate statistical settings. Although more investigation required, insights contribute the characterization biomarkers regulation toward prescription tailored strategies targeting epigenome precise management control.

Childhood obesity has emerged as one of the most critical public health challenges in China. Despite its urgency, existing research on parental preference for tackling childhood remains insufficient. This study aimed to determine factors that parents prioritise when commissioning hypothetical programs target prevention A discrete choice experiment (DCE) was conducted assess preferences a programme attributes. Recruitment occurred between 20th October 2022 and 30th December 2022, using snowball sampling facilitated through social media platforms. Eligibility criteria were limited with at least child aged 5 17 years old. Relevant attributes identified literature review expert consultation. The encompassed six attributes, coefficient these different analysed multinomial logit models (MNL) latent class (LCM). study, involving 631 participants, demonstrates prioritizing programs, place greatest importance additional costs (32.36%). is followed by daily sleep duration (18.42%) dietary choices (16.49%). 9-hour evident (Odds Ratio [OR]: 1.291; 95% Confidence Interval [CI]: 1.186–1.406; p < 0.05, reference: 7 h), well tendency towards high-protein diets over low-fat ones (OR: 1.114; CI: 1.034-1.200; diet). School-based exercise favoured fitness centres 0.837; 0.785–0.893; 0.001, school-based). model (LCM) identifies two distinct groups: preferring school-based exercise, 8-hour sleep, minimal expenses; other favouring willingness invest an RMB200 weight control. Both groups prefer early eating schedules. Understanding concerns vital crafting effective policies aligned UN SDGs SDH framework. Key elements include promoting balanced diets, ensuring safe spaces, fostering engagement. Collaboration among policymakers, educators, essential mitigate obesity.
