Background
Food
and
alcohol
disturbance
(FAD)
represents
a
phenomenon
characterized
by
range
of
dysfunctional
eating
behaviors
individuals
engage
in
when
they
plan
to
drink
order
compensate
for
alcohol-related
calories.
The
aim
the
present
study
was
investigate
relationship
between
FAD
coping
styles
among
young
adults.Methods
sample
composed
379
adults
(274
females
105
males)
with
ages
ranging
from
18
30
years
who
completed
survey
online
self-report
measures
assessing
FAD,alcohol
misuse,
compensatory
styles.Results
positively
correlated
fasting,
use
laxatives
avoidance
strategies
negatively
turning
religion.
Results
hierarchical
regression
analysis
indicated
that
misuse
predicted
FAD,
while
religion
negative
predictor.Conclusion
Our
highlighted
focused
on
avoiding
distress
arising
stressful
situations
may
be
risk
factor
engaging
FAD;
conversely,
times
difficult
life
circumstances
seem
protect
against
FAD.

Background:
Existing
evidence
showed
that
social
anxiety
represents
a
significant
factor
in
eating
disorders.
However,
to
our
knowledge,
no
prior
study
has
examined
the
association
between
and
drunkorexia
behaviors.
Objectives:
The
present
aimed
at
exploring
relationship
behaviors,
investigating
resilience
as
moderator
of
this
relationship.

333
adolescents

15–24
years

Adolescence
and
youth
are
critical
periods
in
which
alcohol
consumption
is
usually
initiated,

binge
drinking.

review
