Despite not being part current nosography, research has grown in past 10 years, mostly on college students' samples. In this study, we aim to describe prevalence, characteristics FAD problem drinking (PD) eating disorder risk (EDR) a sample Italian high school students. Participants were 900 students (53.6% males; mean age = 16.22) that administered standardized questionnaires. Students who screened positive for PD, EDR both were, respectively, 17.3%, 5.9% 1.3%. Approximately one out four reported behaviors, control weight higher prevalence severity among those PD. Purging rare overall (15.5%), but significantly more frequent participants PD (41.7%). was strongly associated than ED symptom across all subgroups. appear be common population Future studies should investigate FAD's impact adolescents' functioning possible early interventions.

The present study aimed at exploring the combined effect of risk eating disorders (ED), alcohol use, physical activity, and social psychological traits in Food Alcohol Disturbance (FAD) behaviors. Nine-hundred seventy-six college students were included study. They then divided into two groups based on Compensatory Eating Behaviors Response to Consumption Scale (CEBRACS): with a FAD positive score student negative score. Both participants compared ED, activity variables, as well dimensions. A cluster analysis was performed group determine distinct subgroups explore involvement dimensions comparison between non-FAD demonstrated more severe higher level impulsivity, anxiety, depression drinking motives lower self-esteem engaged behaviors non-engaged students. identified four clusters: asceticism subgroup, damage control emotional subgroup recreational subgroup. Overall, results reveal that should not be considered unitary behavior but rather complex pattern involving profiles.

Background. Risk factors for eating disorders are multifaceted and complex, so it is crucial to elucidate the role of executive functions, including impulsivity metacognition, coping strategies in severity behaviors. The study aims were threefold: (1) analyze gender differences impulsivity, strategies, emotion regulation, disorders; (2) examine correlation between variables; (3) test mediating emotion-regulation relationship disorders. Methods. A total 1076 participants (Mage = 21.78, SD 5.10; 77.7% women) completed a set questionnaires. Two mediation analyses conducted functions (i.e., metacognition) Results. Women displayed higher specifically emotional expression, wishful thinking, social support, whereas men presented greater withdrawal. Mediational showed significant association disorders, whose was partially mediated by mainly regulation. Conclusion. Interventions based on regulation could be feasible effective option deal with among young population.

Background Metacognitions about online gaming have been shown to be correlated with Internet Gaming Disorder (IGD). Knowledge of metacognitions can help understand IGD. The Online Scale (MOGS) is a reliable and valid tool measure specific in both adults adolescents, which lacking China. Objective This study was conducted assess the psychometric properties Chinese version MOGS (C-MOGS) its relationship IGD population. Methods A total 772 individuals (age: mean 21.70, SD 8.81 years; age range: 13-57 458/772, 59.3% male) completed web-based questionnaire survey, including C-MOGS battery validated scales measuring IGD, motives, depression, anxiety. Results Through exploratory confirmatory factor analyses, 3-factor structure confirmed adequate model fit internal consistency reliability (Cronbach α≥.799, Guttman split-half coefficients≥0.754). Concurrent validity supported by correlations (P<.001), motives depression anxiety (P<.001). Furthermore, incremental analysis showed that predicted 13% variance while controlling for gender, age, weekly hours, Conclusions provides evidence are appropriate emphasizes positive association instrument mental health workers
