ABSTRACT Given the burgeoning Nyctereutes procyonoides breeding industry and its growing scale, it is imperative to investigate impact of high-fat diets on health these animals. The combined pollution of microplastics (MPs) and sulfamethoxazole (SMZ) often occurs in aquatic ecosystems, posing a serious threat to animal human health. However, little is known about the liver damage caused by single or co-exposure MPs SMZ, its specific mechanisms are still poorly understood. In this study, we investigated effects 20 μm 80 nm SMZ both larval adult zebrafish models. Firstly, observed significant decrease number hepatocytes worsened following MPs. To explore the intergenerational cardiotoxicity of nanoplastics, maternal mice were exposed to 60 nm polystyrene nanoplastics (PS-NP) during pregnancy and lactation.
