Methods A total 16 508 adolescents, with 7903 males (47.9%), participated completed Cumulative Ecological Risk Questionnaire, Short Form Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale, Impulsiveness assessment, Nonsuicidal Self‐Injury Scale. Results (1) There was a significant positive correlation risk, depression, impulsiveness, NSSI; (2) significantly predicted (3) had (4) moderated both NSSI adolescents. Conclusions are factors adolescent play crucial

Abstract Objective The objective of this study is to explore the relationship between family communication, violence, problematic internet use, anxiety, and depression validate their potential mediating role. Methods population consisted Chinese adolescents aged 12 18 years, a cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2022. Structural equation models were constructed using AMOS 25.0 software examine factors that influence adolescent anxiety effects use violence. Results results indicate communication significantly negatively related violence ( β = -.494, p < 0.001), -.056, .05), -.076, .01), -.071, .05). And finds also mediated relationships -.143, CI: -.198 -.080), -.141; -.074). Chain indirect -.051; -.081 -.030) or -.046; -.080 -.043) via then through found present study. Conclusions In conclusion, positive crucial reducing adolescents. Moreover, mediate on depression. Therefore, improving promoting interventions aimed at can help reduce adolescents, thus healthy development.

Background & Aim: Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents is a serious public health issue influenced by the interaction of multiple factors. The purpose this study was to investigate mediating roles alexithymia and self-esteem association between bullying victimization NSSI sample Chinese adolescents. Methods: A survey 1299 from two middle schools Henan Province, China, undertaken. Data were collected using version Delaware scale-student (DBVS-S), Toronto Alexithymia-20 Scale (TAS-20-C), Rosenberg scale (RSES), adolescent questionnaire. Besides, we performed structural equation modeling (SEM) with latent variables AMOS 26.0 examine relationship effects. Results: SEM analysis found that not only can directly impact NSSI, but have chain effect NSSI. This contributed 22.47% total effect. Conclusion: These findings validate victimization, alexithymia, low are important affect among Educators need implement some prevention intervention strategies ameliorate campus atmosphere adolescents' mental aimed at avoiding behavior adolescence. Background Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a worldwide mental health problem that deserves thorough investigation. This study aims to explore the effect of parenting styles, attachment parents, and self-compassion on occurrence non-suicidal behavior in adolescents whether these factors influence their recovery motivation. Methods A total 132 who had engaged NSSI within last year 72 never were recruited from Shenzhen Kangning Hospital primary secondary schools communities. Differences Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Inventory Parent Peer Attachment (IPPA), Egma Minn av. Bardndosnauppforstran (EMBU), Self-Compassion (SCS) participants compared. binary logistic model was established measure odds ratios variables NSSI. In adolescent sample, separate models created with impulse inhibition, resistance activity, motivation as dependent independent variables. Results Compared no behavior, those past higher scores HAMD, well EMBU-negative father parental (punishment, excessive interference, rejection, overprotection), mother (excessive punishment), SCS negative scores. Moreover, lower EMBU-father emotional warmth, EMBU-mother IPPA-attachment father, mother, positive Current depressive symptoms maternal punishment are risk for adolescents, while protective factor. Positive can positively predict However, we unexpectedly found father’s warmth negatively predicts activity. Conclusion has significant impact prevention adolescents.

Existing research suggests that parent-adolescent conflict is associated with increased risk for adolescent non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). However, NSSI reactions to conflicts exhibit large individual differences. This study sought explore whether depressive symptoms mediates the relationship between and NSSI, this mediating process moderated by COMT gene rs4680 polymorphism. A total of 673 adolescents (364 males, 309 females) in age range 12 15 years (Meanage = 12.81 years, SD 0.48) completed questionnaires regarding conflict, symptoms, NSSI. Genomic DNA was extracted from saliva buccal cells each participant. Bootstrapping techniques displayed statistically significant mediation. The results showed positive association fact mediated symptoms. Moreover, indirect link Specifically, effect on via stronger Val/Val genotype than those Met/Met or Val/Met genotype. Adolescence is the peak period of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) behaviour, and it also a when prevention intervention in NSSI are frequently required. To explore relationship between catastrophising its mechanism, mediating effects parental support negative emotions on were analysed. A total 206 (52.9% boys; M age = 12.90 years, SD 0.33) (17.5% fathers, 82.4% mothers; 43.50 4.76 years) included this study. Results showed that parents' authoritarian, not authoritative parenting, predicted nine months later. In addition, parent−adolescent relationships, but nor resilience, mediated relations between growth. Adolescents' fewer difficulties.
