ABSTRACT The purpose of this paper is to examine the factors that challenge or motivate textile and apparel suppliers' implementation circular economy (CE) practices. To end, we interviewed 18 senior managers from Bangladeshi suppliers. key reported challenges CE were cost concerns, reluctance entrepreneurs, lack regulatory influence, unavailability appropriate technology adequate research development projects. Abstract Implementing the circular economy (CE) requires novel forms of stakeholder collaboration. While contemporary literature on theory is commonly characterized as “pro‐business‐oriented,” it remains ambiguous how precisely collaborations may pave way for a systemic CE transition. By applying qualitative‐empirical research approach utilizing semi‐structured interviews, this paper identifies three types governance collaborations—(i) company‐centric governance, (ii) industry‐oriented and (iii) cross‐industry‐oriented governance. Our contribution to lies in examining transition bridge “the stakeholder‐system divide.” We emphasize unique role innovative ensuring success relationships while highlighting changes business environment give an impetus collaborations. contribute by gaining following insights into European chemicals plastics industry: (a) successful typically feature variety different stakeholders maintaining close mutual interactions; (b) calls managerial strategies that are collectively governance‐oriented rather than company‐centric. Abstract This study addresses the challenges faced by small‐ and medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs) in undertaking sustainability projects due to limited resources explores factors influencing SMEs' adoption of circular economy (CE) practices, an area under‐researched literature. Analysing data from 205 SMEs Spain's forest bioeconomy sector using fuzzy sets (fs/QCA), finds that internal external social capital, coupled with adaptive capacity, are crucial influences, particularly when exhibit entrepreneurial culture.
