Population growth and the increasing demand for raw materials with expanding amount of waste in environment have resulted need to change production–consumption model based on a one-way flow (from through products waste). An alternative linear production consumption is circular economy (CE), which assumes more efficient use resources, recovery (including municipal waste), reuse materials. One important elements this system recycling, will not efficiently function without public participation sorting system. The aim survey study was examine motivation, knowledge, behavior Polish respondents regarding household related problems. results showed that almost 90% declared sorting, mostly because threat (34%) desire contribute recycling process (34%), despite respondents’ problems assigning certain types appropriate containers. This indicates further education area, should be conducted primarily online—the main sources information about according respondents, are social media (33%) websites (22%). research can help designing educational campaigns both at national (Ministry Environment non-governmental organizations) regional (municipal) levels, as these indicate areas citizens most separation.

International interest in using waste-to-energy (WtE) technology toward a circular economy (CE) is developing, spurred by environmental challenges such as inefficient solid waste dumping, pollution, and resource depletion. Incineration, pyrolysis, gasification, landfill, anaerobic digestion are standard WtE technologies. Although these methods have been used for many decades, all countries try to implement the best plans based on their technologies capacities. Therefore, an up-to-date comprehensive study needed evaluate existing barriers draw logical roadmap CE. this review addresses recent policies adopted developed developing Based findings, most seek cost-effective environmentally sustainable pathways CE; meanwhile, international collaboration governmental support overcome find economically viable plan both future.

The Circular Economy (CE) is generally understood as an opportunity to transform the current unsustainable linear economic system by redesigning way organisations provide goods and services rethinking how society consumes uses those resources. In this context, public sector mainly recognised actor enabling implementation of a sustainable CE through governmental interventions policy initiatives. However, there lack studies considering at organisational level. in includes wide range different practices that are important examine order analyse process. Consequently, study aims characterise state implementing circular supporting strategies central organisations.
