Nursing education is renowned for its demanding nature, subjecting students to a multitude of stressors. This study investigates stress factors among nursing in both public and private institutions, shedding light on their experiences Pakistan. The research employs quantitative approach, utilizing 31-item questionnaire with five-point Likert scale assess stress-related factors, values ranging from “Strongly Disagree” Agree.” encompasses diverse participant pool, including 150 students, revealing relatively balanced gender distribution representation institutions. results underscore academic-related as the most prominent challenge faced by affecting sleep patterns, self-study abilities, punctuality. Nursing students exhibit a higher incidence of mental disorders. Studies have identified psychological stress contributes to elevated depression symptoms through reappraisal cognitive in nursing students. However, there is little research exploring the knowledge regarding role ruminative thinking mediating associations between and symptoms. Guiding by non-hemostatic model control theory, study aims investigate chained mediation ruminate among undergraduates. A total 1,220 undergraduates were carried out stratified sampling from July December 2023 via online survey. The investigation adopted Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10), Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), Ruminative Response (RRS), Center for Epidemiologic Depression (CES-D) measure level stress, reappraisal, symptoms, respectively. Although research identified poor students, few studies have examined positive factors such as self-compassion, which can a favorable effect on health.
