However, food loss is significant issue that getting worse as Algerian’s continues expand consumption increasing. In Algeria, production processing items, include fruits, vegetables, cereals, generate considerable amount by-products, with no commercial exploitation negative environmental impact, generating enormous socio-economic problems. The recent millennium has witnessed a notable shift in consumer focus towards natural products for addressing lifestyle-related disorders, driven by their safety and cost-effectiveness. Nutraceuticals functional foods play an imperative role meeting nutritional needs offering medicinal benefits. With increased scientific knowledge awareness, the significance of healthy lifestyle, including diet, reducing disease risk is widely acknowledged, facilitating access to diverse safer diet longevity. Plant-based rich phytochemicals are increasingly popular effectively utilized management. Agricultural waste from plant-based being recognized as valuable source nutraceuticals dietary interventions. Citrus peels, known flavonoids, emerging promising health-promoting ingredient. Essential oils exhibit antioxidant properties but are prone to oxidative degradation under environmental conditions, making their preservation crucial. Therefore, the purpose of this work was evaluate physicochemical nanoencapsulated essential (EOs) extracted from peel sweet lemon, mandarin, lime, and orange using four formulations wall materials consisting gum arabic (GA), maltodextrin (MD), casein (CAS). The results showed that EOs higher solubility (79.5% 93.5%) when encapsulated with GA/MD. Likewise, lemon highest phenolic content GA/CAS (228.27 mg GAE/g sample), mandarin GA/MD/CAS (1709 1599 μmol TE/g) had capacity. On other hand, encapsulation efficiency obtained in lime GA/MD (68.5%), nanoencapsulates D-limonene (613 ng/mL). Using increased EO lemon. were most efficient for retaining orange.

ABSTRACT Eleutherococcus senticosus essential oil (ESEO) has the function of clearing heat and detoxifying, delaying aging. The ESEO yield obtained by traditional extraction methods is low because oils are encased in plant cell structures difficult to extract. The Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) fruit fly pest has been widely ecologically controlled by means of using attractant substances. This study supports the idea that α-copaene, a naturally occurring substance found in numerous plants, might be used as semiochemical to control this pest. possibility obtaining natural compound abundant quantities may reveal its potential use integrated management. main goal was demonstrate, on small scale, how extraction clove oil fractional distillation and other laboratory-assisted techniques can facilitate amounts α-copaene for medfly. As result, male attraction isolated from confirmed 5–6 times higher than commercial trimedlure. In field projection, five distilled fractions with an content less 10% were shown have quarter half attractive power exerted trimedlure males.
