With
the
increasing
pressure
on
global
food
security,
effective
detection
and
management
of
rice
pests
have
become
crucial.
Traditional
pest
methods
are
not
only
time-consuming
labor-intensive
but
also
often
fail
to
achieve
real-time
monitoring
rapid
response.
This
study
aims
address
issue
through
deep
learning
techniques
enhance
agricultural
productivity
sustainability.
The
research
utilizes
IP102
large-scale
benchmark
dataset,
publicly
released
by
CVPR
in
2019,
which
includes
9,663
images
eight
types
pests,
with
a
training-to-testing
ratio
8:2.
By
optimizing
YOLOv8
model,
incorporating
CBAM
(Convolutional
Block
Attention
Module)
attention
mechanism,
BiFPN
(Bidirectional
Feature
Pyramid
Network)
for
feature
fusion,
accuracy
complex
environments
was
significantly
improved.
Experimental
results
show
that
improved
model
achieved
[email protected][email protected]:0.95
scores
98.8%
78.6%,
respectively,
representing
increases
2.8%
2.35%
over
original
model.

Biological

The
fall
armyworm
(FAW),
Spodoptera
frugiperda
(J.E.
Smith),
is
one
of
the
most
important
insect
pests
affecting
corn
crops
worldwide.
Although
planting
transgenic
expressing
Bacillus
thuringiensis
(Bt)
toxins
has
been
approved
as
being
effective
against
FAW,
its
populations’
resistance
to
Bt
emerged
in
different
locations
around
world.
Therefore,
it
understand
interaction
between
proteins,
thereby
delaying
development
resistance.
In
this
study,
we
performed
diet-overlay
bioassays
evaluate
toxicity
Cry1Ab,
Cry1Ac,
Cry1B,
