Abstract Embedded within social dynamics and social‐information processing, the current qualitative study explores goal orientations, self‐perceptions perceptions of popularity students attending regular special education schools in Germany. Semi‐structured interviews were conducted with seven Grade 8, which three a educational school specialised supporting social‐emotional development. Students' endorsement leadership, intimacy, nurturance goals determined, focus on strategies they employ for attainment everyday encounters. A range emerged, including communication strategies, humour prosocial spending, expands past literature that only focused generalised behavioural tendencies responses to conflict situations. Furthermore, named both agentic communal traits when describing how their peers view them. Middle childhood marks an important phase for moral and social-emotional development, yet little research has focused on a combined focus within this age range. A person-centered approach could capture the complex co-development of self behavior problems. We thus sought to determine exploratively what emergent subgroups/profiles exist when examining combinations self, emotional, conduct peer problems in middle childhood. For study, we recruited 369 children aged five eleven (Mage = 8.19, SDage 1.30) Germany. Abstract: Given the significant negative consequences of problematic video gaming among adolescents, it is crucial to identify risk and protective factors inform effective prevention intervention strategies. Abstract The present study focuses on assessing the psychometric properties of Inventory Callous-Unemotional Traits (ICU) in a German community sample middle childhood participants. Zusammenfassung: Theoretischer Hintergrund: Die Bedeutung der Selbstregulation für die Entwicklung von Kindern wird intensiv diskutiert. Rolle Moral ist jedoch ungeklärt. Fragestellung: Ziel ist, Frage nach Zusammenhängen zwischen verschiedenen Aspekten (temperamentsbezogene Selbstregulation, exekutive Funktionen und Emotionsregulation) (moralisches Selbst Urteil) bei in mittleren Kindheit nachzugehen zu analysieren, welche dieser Selbstregulationsaspekte einem integrativen Modell den stärksten Zusammenhang mit moralischen zeigen. Methode: 348 Kinder (5 – 11 Jahre) nahmen an Querschnittsstudie teil. Verschiedene (exekutive Funktionen, Temperament, wurden als Prädiktoren Strukturgleichungsmodell analysiert. Ergebnisse: Emotionsregulation hatte Effekt auf Moral, gefolgt Impulsivität, dem Arbeitsgedächtnis Inhibitionskontrolle. Risikobereitschaft zeigte keine signifikanten Assoziationen Moral. Diskussion Schlussfolgerung: Zusammenhänge Kindern. Förderung Moralentwicklung sollte Praxis Forschung fokussiert werden.

Considering the sparse but rapidly growing literature concerning relationship between psychopathy and emotion regulation, taking stock of accumulating knowledge in a systematic review meta-analysis existing results is needed. We performed search (up to May 30, 2024) following PRISMA guidelines five scientific databases (PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, MEDLINE, PubMed, Scopus Web Science). Also, gray was searched. After removing duplicates, total 8.786 records were screened, 73 articles selected based on inclusion criteria used for review. The meta-analytic procedure 55 identified studies consistent with adopted, which overall comprised 29.856 individuals. current has clarified association impairments emotional regulation abilities facets psychopathy. More specifically, analyses indicated that dysregulation associated levels psychopathic traits, as well both lifestyle affective components psychopathy, suggests utility assessing these features when designing interventions focused modulating negative states enhancing impulsive behaviors.

Aim: As most substance use prevention programs are offered at school, it is important to explore which group of students might be increased risk. Both researchers and educators have often maintained that with special educational needs due emotional behavioral disorders (SENs-EBD) particularly vulnerable. Hence, the aim current systematic review was examine alcohol cannabis by SENs-EBD in comparison without SENs or other types SENs. Methods: Adhering PRISMA guidelines, registered on PROSPERO (CRD42023375799) search terms were entered Web Science, Scopus, ERIC, PubMed December 2022. Publications required report empirical quantitative studies (primary data) assessed and/or adolescent a group, published English-language journal articles, conference papers, book chapters from 2000 onwards. The QuADS tool used for quality assessment. Results: Based these criteria, six articles (sample sizes N = 61 122,180) included thematic narrative synthesis. revealed percentage consuming higher compared who did not attended mainstream schools. Conclusion: small number heterogeneous studies, limitations concerning sample size, missing effect sizes, influence control variables, demonstrates need more research. provides guidance such future research endeavors, as well preliminary notions practical implications.

Callous-unemotional traits are associated with the development of severe behavior problems, delinquency, and psychopathy. Previous studies have repeatedly shown that CU may be present as early preschool age, they consistently used Inventory Callous-Unemotional Traits (ICU) to assess in children adolescents. A three-factor structure for ICU has been widely endorsed. The aim our study is compare different age groups (preschool, middle childhood, early, late adolescence) test measurement invariance a German sample N = 2368 adolescents (M 11.76 years; SD 3.72). results indicate configural invariance, suggesting same all but meanings, parameters, mean values groups. Accordingly, cannot applied way groups, which emphasizes need more differentiated assessment.
