This article reports on two aspects of a professional learning (PL) and research study. Twenty-five teachers participated in two-year PL program that sought to support implement classroom connectivity technology (CCT) their Algebra I classrooms. Students one school who learned with CCT outperformed peers without CCT. Therefore, we explored the practices teacher whose students attained higher achievement. There were several this teacher’s instruction created context for noticing potentially led significant difference First, describe foundational components established expectations lesson mini cycles provided consistent format students. We discuss work supported student noticing, including connections prior knowledge, task analysis, carefully curated lessons. Students’ observations codified conjectures they developed individually groups as well summaries engagement ways. The implications these results future are discussed.

For study, we used a comparative quantitative approach. We distributed questionnaire 1281 randomly selected elementary students. data analysis included statistical description analysis, normality homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing. findings revealed that (1) average value competency urban-area was higher than rural-area teachers, (2) score C-accredited schools unaccredited B-accredited schools, (3) private public schools. Thus, results show differences exist competence Based on these findings, suggest all must continuously increase their more effectively help students enhance skills.

Effective teacher professional development (PD) on SEPs is essential for success. In this study, we evaluated Nebraska STEM Education Conference, a PD program middle school, high first- second-year post-secondary teachers. This SEP-oriented focused predominantly ‘developing using models’ ‘using mathematics computational thinking.’ An electronic survey was used to measure participants’ (n = 45) prior SEPs, influential factors barriers changes interest confidence as result attending program. Our results showed that teachers had limited use their teaching. Student learning outcomes were found be most teachers’ while knowledge, confidence, resources commonly identified barriers. As program, participants significantly improved incorporate SEPs. We recommend continued foster successful NGSS advance reforms education.
