Objectives Although nurses work and live in special stressful conditions due to the nature of their profession, periods crises pandemics, when pressure on public’s need for professional services increases extraordinary incomparable levels compared customary conditions, life situation becomes entirely different. Therefore, what experienced COVID-19 pandemic went beyond typical challenges environment. This study was conducted discover nurses’ perceptions during pandemic. Methods qualitative with a conventional content analysis approach 16 working inpatient wards Iran. Data were collected through unstructured, individual, in-depth interviews between August 2020 June 2023 analyzed using (inductive) Granheim Lundman. Results led extraction 11 subcategories, namely, “feeling lack support understanding from managers,” “team cooperation communication difficult conditions,” “shadow burnout,” “shortage inequity,” “dissatisfaction unfair wages benefits,” “not having sacrifices appreciated,” “suffering fatigue personal protective equipment (PPE),” “deprivation entertainment rest,” “fear illness imminent death,” “low resilience,” “deteriorating conditions” These subcategories following themes: “unsafe environment” “the shadow suffering death.” Conclusion Nurses Iran worked an unsafe environment had deal fear death. Abstract Background Globally, the health workforce has long suffered from labour shortages. This been exacerbated by workload increase caused COVID-19 pandemic. Major collapses in healthcare systems across world during peak of pandemic led to calls for strategies alleviate increasing job attrition problem within sector. turnover may worsen given overwhelming pressures experienced pandemic, and proactive measures should be taken retain workers. review aims examine factors affecting intention among workers Methods A mixed studies systematic was conducted. The PubMed, Embase, Scopus, CINAHL, Web Science PsycINFO databases were searched January 2020 March 2022. Joanna Briggs Institute’s Critical Appraisal Tools Mixed Tool version 2018 applied two independent researchers critically appraise methodological quality. Findings synthesised using a convergent integrated approach categorised thematically. Results Forty-three studies, including 39 quantitative, qualitative methods included this review. Eighteen conducted Middle East, ten Americas, nine Asia–Pacific region six Europe. Nurses ( n = 35) majority while physicians 13), allied 11) administrative or management staff 7) smaller proportion. The critical care nursing workforce is in crisis, with one-third of nurses worldwide intending to leave their roles. This paper aimed examine the problem from a wellbeing perspective, offering implications for research, and potential solutions organisations.Discursive/Position paper.The discussion based on literature. Data were drawn peer-reviewed literature, such reviews empirical studies, national surveys government thinktank publications/reports.Critical have been disproportionately affected COVID-19 pandemic studies consistently showing worst psychological outcomes measures, including depression, burnout post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). BackgroundInfection control nurses (ICNs) have played substantial roles in infection and epidemiology programs hospitals to protect patients coworkers during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This study aimed explore association between intention leave ICNs job stress burnout.MethodsThis cross-sectional was conducted among working with ≥200 beds South Korea from October 1 22, 2021.Variables included were related general characteristics specific COVID-19, as well measures of stress, burnout, turnover for previous studies. Path analysis used examine relationships COVID-19-related work characteristics.ResultsA total 203 participants included, whom 95% women. The results showed that intensity COVID-19 significantly associated (p<0.001) burnout (p=0.035). Furthermore, (p=0.019) positively correlated intention.ConclusionIn a pandemic emerging infectious diseases, strategies reduce ensure sufficient workforce are crucial reducing intensity, considering factors affect burnout.

Abstract Background Family doctors in rural China are the main force for primary health care, but workforce has not been well stabilized recent years. Surface acting is an emotional labor strategy with a disparity between inner feelings and displays, provoking negative effects such as exhaustion, occupational commitment reduction, and, consequently, increasing turnover rate. With Conservation of Resources theory, this study explores how surface family affects intention through exhaustion investigates what role plays relationship. Methods valid response rate 93.89%, 953 data were collected by anonymous self-administered questionnaire survey December 2021 Shandong Province, China. Cronbach’s Alpha confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) used to estimate reliability construct validity, respectively. The PROCESS macro SPSS was performed analyze mediating moderated mediation acting, commitment, intention. Results Reliability validity indicated that measurement instruments acceptable. had direct positive effect on ( β = 0.481, 95% CI [0.420, 0.543]).
