Asia's inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) burden has rapidly increased recently, but the epidemiological trends in Asia remain unclear. We report IBD's incidence, prevalence, mortality, and Disability-Adjusted Life Years (DALY) 52 Asian countries from 1990 to 2019.Data Global Burden of Disease 2019 were analyzed for IBD across countries, using metrics like mortality rates, DALY. The trend was assessed with Joinpoint APC methods. Decomposition frontier analyses examined factors behind case death changes. NORPRED forecasted morbidity 2044.From 2019, incidence prevalence Asia, while DALY decreased. East had highest increase burden. among 30-34 age group, peaking 45-49 group. In high-income regions, peak shifted younger groups. Decompose analysis showed population growth as primary factor increasing cases Asia. NORDPRED model predicted a continued over next 25 years.Between ASIR ASPR increased, ASMR ASDR Due aging, is expected rise years, particularly

Summary Background and Aims The objective of the study was to analyse prevalence, incidence, death alcohol‐associated liver disease (ALD) among adolescents young adults globally, continentally, nationally, focusing on trends over time. Methods analysed data from Global Burden Disease (GBD) between 2000 2019. It examined ALD's in aged 15–29, segmented by region, nation, sociodemographic index. analysis utilised Joinpoint regression modelling calculate annual per cent change (APC) rate these parameters Results In 2019, there were 281,450 ALD prevalences, 18,930 incidences, 3190 deaths globally. From age‐adjusted prevalence 100,000 increased 25–29 age group (APC: +0.6%, p = 0.003), remained stable ages 20–24 ( 0.302) 15–19 0.160). Prevalence significantly (19‐fold increase) (2.5‐fold increase). rates all groups Africa Eastern Mediterranean region. Around three‐quarters countries territories experienced an increase incidence adults. Conclusion Over two decades, burden has emphasises importance public health policies aimed at reducing alcohol consumption preventing younger populations.

Objectives This study aims to analyze the global burden of otitis media and predict future trends using data from Global Burden Disease 2021 (GBD 2021). Study design A cross-sectional analysis GBD results was conducted. Methods Age-standardized incidence rates (ASIR), age-standardized prevalence (ASPR), disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) (ASDR) were calculated. Trend conducted estimated annual percentage change (EAPC), Joinpoint regression, age-period-cohort, decomposition analyses. Future projections generated Bayesian age-period-cohort (BAPC) auto-regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) models. Results The rose 322.1 million cases in 1992 391.3 2021, with ASIR increasing slightly 5345.09 5529.1 per 100,000 (EAPC: 0.11%). Despite this increase, ASPR decreased 1786.56 1593.74 -0.43%). DALYs increased 2.16 2.48 million; however, ASDR declined 37.68 32.54 −0.51%). Notably, low low-middle SDI regions showed significant disparities, higher ASIRs (up 5315.08 for males) but declining ASPR. Regionally, East Asia exhibited most substantial decline (−1.14%) (−1.22%), while Central Sub-Saharan Africa demonstrated stable ASDR. indicate a rising through 2036. Conclusion shows regional rate. Public health interventions have been effective regions, targeted efforts are needed further reduce media.

This study aims to explore the epidemiological trends of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) over past three decades in China and further predict IBD next 25 years. The prevalence, incidence, mortality, years life lived with disability (YLDs), lost (YLLs), disability-adjusted (DALYs), annual percentage changes above metrics from 1990 2019 were extracted Global Burden Disease Study 2019. The corresponding predicted. From 2019, cases raised 484 thousand [95% uncertainty interval (UI) 411-571] 427 (366-498) among males females, respectively. age-standardized incidence rate increased 1.72 per 100,000 population (1.44-2.05) 3.35 (2.88-3.88) 1.20 (1.02-1.42) 2.65 (2.29-3.08) females. highest occurred people aged 35-39 years. total YLDs attributed significantly increased, but YLLs showed a decreasing trend, resulting minor alterations DALYs. In years, would continue increase until plateau by 2030, IBD-related deaths also about 7.57 2044 despite mortality rate. Similar observed for both sexes, slight male predominance.Although is still low-endemic area IBD, prevalence dramatically decades. burden expected grow continuously due large base severe aging problem. estimated enter Compounding Prevalence stage around 2030.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is evolving into a global burden with substantially increasing incidence in developing countries. It characterized by inflammation confined to mucosa and recognized as an intestinal barrier disease. The microbiota plays crucial role UC pathogenesis. N. commune has long been appreciated healthy food supplement worldwide polysaccharides account for 60%. Here, we examined the amelioration of against acute mice induced DSS assessed mediating gut microbiota. An integrated analysis microbiome, metabolomics, transcriptomics fully elaborated it markedly enhanced mucosal function, including: relative abundance Akkermansia muciniphila, uncultured_bacterium_g__norank_f__Muribaculaceae, unclassified_g__norank_f__norank_o__Clostridia_UCG-014; decreasing microbiota-derived phosphatidylcholines thromboxane 2 levels mapped arachidonic acid metabolism; improving mucin2 biosynthesis secretion; enhancing ZO-1 occludin expression; reducing neutrophil infiltration; regulating level colitis-related inflammatory cytokines; involving immune function-associated signaling pathways. Further, mediation effect was evaluated administering cocktail antibiotics. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that predominantly reinforced microbiota-mediated confer protection exhibited dramatic prebiotic-like functions, providing alternative or complementary treatment UC.
