Neuronal loss is one of the striking causes various central nervous system (CNS) disorders, including major neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s (PD), Huntington’s (HD), and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Although these diseases have different features clinical manifestations, they share some common mechanisms pathology. Progressive regional neurons in patients responsible for motor, memory, cognitive dysfunctions, leading to disabilities death. cell death linked pathways conditions. Protein misfolding aggregation, mitochondrial dysfunction, generation reactive oxygen species (ROS), activation innate immune response are most critical hallmarks diseases. Thus, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, oxidative neuroinflammation pathological factors neuronal Even though exact not fully discovered, notable role mentioned well known. On this basis, researchers been prompted investigate neuroprotective effects targeting underlying determine a promising therapeutic approach treatment. This review provides an overview ER death, mainly discussing or molecules involved factors.

Air pollution, a growing concern for public health, has been linked to various respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. Emerging evidence also suggests link between exposure air pollutants neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease (AD). This review explores the composition sources of pollutants, including particulate matter, gases, persistent organic heavy metals. The pathophysiology AD is briefly discussed, highlighting role beta-amyloid plaques, neurofibrillary tangles, genetic factors. article examines how reach brain exert their detrimental effects, delving into neurotoxicity pollutants. molecular mechanisms linking pollution neurodegeneration are explored in detail, focusing on oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, protein aggregation. Preclinical studies, vitro experiments animal models, provide direct effects neuronal cells, glial blood-brain barrier. Epidemiological studies have reported associations an increased risk cognitive decline. body supporting as modifiable factor underscores importance considering environmental factors etiology progression face worsening global quality.

Alzheimer’s disease is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive dysfunction and behavioral abnormalities. Neuroinflammatory plaques formed through the extracellular deposition of amyloid-β proteins, as well neurofibrillary tangles intracellular hyperphosphorylated tau comprise two typical pathological features disease. Besides symptomatic treatment, there are no effective therapies for delaying progression. MicroRNAs (miR) small, non-coding RNAs that negatively regulate gene expression at transcriptional translational levels play important roles in multiple physiological processes. Indeed, miR-146a , NF-κB-regulated gene, has been extensively implicated development several pathways. Research demonstrated substantial dysregulation both during initial phases throughout progression this disorder. MiR-146a believed to reduce protein hyperphosphorylation TLR/IRAK1/TRAF6 pathway; however, also evidence supporting it can promote these processes many other pathways, thus exacerbating manifestations It widely reported mediates synaptic dysfunction, mitochondrial neuronal death targeting mRNAs encoding synaptic-related mitochondrial-related membrane mRNAs. Regarding impact on glial cells, exhibits differential effects. Abstract Fish constitutes an essential source of high-quality protein and is, at the same time, exposure to many hazardous contaminants, namely mercury methyl (MeHg). This study aims assessing risk that MeHg poses health adult Qatari residents through fish consumption. Data on consumption were collected using a self-administered online survey composed three sections information about fish-eating patterns participants. The species reported be consumed by ≥ 3% respondents sampled analyzed for their total (T-Hg) content levels. concentrations derived from T-Hg levels scenario-based approach. Disaggregated contamination data combined deterministic approach estimate intakes. average, 75th, 95th percentiles intake estimates determined compared tolerable weekly (TWI) set European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) (1.3 μg·kg −1 ·w ). All samples contained ˂ 0.3–0.5 µg/g with mean value 0.077 µg/g. population had average 736.0 g/week. estimated intakes exceeded TWI some consumers including females childbearing age those following high-protein diet. Our highlights need establish regulatory guidelines dietary advice based risk/benefit ratio.

The Zingiberaceae family possess various phenolic compounds that have significant systemic bioactivities in the brain, including age-related neurodegenerative diseases. Neurotrophins are growth factors protect neurons from oxidative stress, and dysregulation of neurotrophic system may result neurocognitive disease. Phenolic been used traditional complementary medicine (TCM) to improve cognitive functions. These affect expression agents, but their underlying molecular mechanisms require further investigation. Therefore, goal this review is determine functional roles brain disorders disorders. While previous studies proposed for neuroprotective activity these compounds, precise mechanism action remains complex poorly understood. Despite some promising findings, there still shortcomings therapeutic use herbs, current interventions involving appear be clinically insufficient. This article aims summarize recent discoveries several members as neuroprotectants provide first evidence-linked bioactive ingredients prominent family.
