Association of triglyceride glucose index and triglyceride glucose-body mass index with sudden cardiac arrest in the general population

Abstract Background Insulin resistance (IR) significantly contributes to cardiovascular disease (CVD) development. Triglyceride glucose (TyG) index and triglyceride glucose-body mass (TyG-BMI) are recognised as convenient proxies for IR. However, their relationship with sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) remains unclear. Methods This prospective cohort analysis included 355,242 UK Biobank participants available TyG TyG-BMI data no history of CVD. Association between Healthy Eating Index-2020, alternative Mediterranean Diet scores, and gastrointestinal cancer risk in NHANES 2005–2018

Diet quality is closely related to the occurrence of gastrointestinal (GI) cancers; however, few studies have investigated association between Healthy Eating Index (HEI-2020) and alternative Mediterranean diet (aMED) scores GI cancers.
