Abstract Diabesity is a condition where an individual has both diabetes and obesity, which can lead to severe complications including cardiovascular disease, leading cause of mortality. Recently, cancer become excess hospitalizations, obesity are associated with higher risk developing several types cancer. In this review, we propose that chronic stress significantly increases association. Managing challenging as they significant distress. Microglia, as immune cells in the central nervous system, are closely related to cognitive impairment associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Preliminary explorations have investigated relationship between T2D-related and activation polarization of microglia. This review summarizes potential mechanisms microglial context T2D. It discusses inflammatory responses, neuronal apoptosis, amyloid-β deposition, abnormal phosphorylation Tau protein mediated by polarization, exploring connections from multiple perspectives. Additionally, this provides references for future treatment targeting microglia clinical translation.

Prostate cancer is a leading malignancy in men, ranking fourth globally and fifth Indonesia (GLOBOCAN 2020). Conventional therapies, though available, are limited by high costs, side effects, resistance, highlighting the need for accessible alternatives. Broccoli microgreens, rich bioactive compounds, have shown potential preventing treating various cancers. This study hypothesized that compounds broccoli microgreens interact with molecular targets involved prostate progression. To test this hypothesis, we employed network pharmacology-based silico approach to systematically explore these interactions identify therapeutic mechanisms. Bioactive were identified using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analyzed via PubChem database. Abstract Purpose Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) are a heterogeneous group of malignancies originating from cells with neuroendocrine phenotype. The complex relationship between lipid metabolism and cancer is gaining interest potential anti-cancer effect lowering agents being considered. This review aims to discuss the current understanding treatment dyslipidaemia in NENs, focusing on role agents, including new therapeutic approaches, future perspectives as possible tool prevention tumor-growth control. Methods We performed an electronic-based search using PubMed updated until December 2023, summarizing available evidence both basic clinical research about NENs. Results Dyslipidemia important aspect be considered NENs management, although randomized studies specifically addressing this topic lacking, unlike other types. Available data mainly regard statins, vitro have demonstrated direct antitumor effects, antiproliferative effects some cancers, supporting pleiotropic also but remain conflicting. Ezetimibe, omega 3-fatty acids, fibrates inhibitors proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) may enhance regulation homeostasis, cancers. Conclusions Targeting dyslipidemia should part multidisciplinary management integrated approach best option for metabolic tumor Whether directly contribute control remains confirmed specific studies, association risk, disease stage primary site.

Cowhide collagen hydrolysates (CCHs) are peptides and amino acids obtained from the partial hydrolysis of collagen. These have numerous potential applications in food, biomedical, pharmaceutical industries. The study analyzed physicochemical, antioxidant, anti-atherosclerosis properties cowhide using silico methods. Proteins were identified based on their molecular weights origin protein database (UniProtKB). Using bioinformatics tools, physicochemical (toxicity acid composition) determined. proteins subsequently subjected to an enzymatic pepsin, thermolysin, proteinase K. characterized. Molecular docking was conducted between generated three target enzymes (3-Hydroxy-3-Methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase, cyclooxygenase-2, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate (NADPH) oxidase). Two collagens identified, F1MJQ6 G3MZI7, with 172,076 184,867 Dalton, respectively. A compositional analysis G3MZI7 revealed significant presence glycine residues at 25% 23%, proline 16% 18%, exhibited a high concentration both essential semi-essential acids. results indicate that antioxidant ADF, PHF, LW (novel released by K) most promising candidates for further development as inhibitors HMG-CoA cyclo-oxygenase-2, NADPH oxidase. Insulin resistance (IR) is associated with increased cardiovascular disease risk, and all-cause, cardiovascular, cancer mortality. A number of surrogate markers are used in clinical practice to diagnose IR. The aim this study was investigate the discriminatory power a routinely available anthropometric biochemical variables predicting IR determine their optimal cutoffs. We performed cross-sectional cohort middle-aged individuals. receiver operator characteristics (ROC) analyses order parameters interest detecting IR, which defined as homeostatic model assessment-insulin ≥2.5. Both lipid accumulation product (LAP) visceral adiposity index (VAI) exhibited good detect both males females. cutoffs were 42.5 1.44, respectively, 36.2 1.41, Serum triglycerides (TG) waist circumference (WC) similarly demonstrated sexes. for serum TG WC 1.35 mmol/L 96.5 cm, men 1.33 82 women. On other hand, systolic diastolic blood pressure, liver transaminases, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, uric acid, ferritin, waist-hip ratio, "A" body shape, thigh circumference, weight-adjusted all had poor power. Our data show that LAP, VAI, TG, have lower than those currently recommended Replication studies required different subpopulations ethnicities be able update current cut points ones reflect contemporary population well evaluate longitudinal relationship longer-term cardiometabolic outcomes.

A strong relationship exists between immune dysfunction and cardiovascular disease. Immune dysregulation can promote the development of diseases as well exacerbate their course. The disorders may occur due to presence primary defects (currently known inborn errors immunity) more common secondary deficiencies. Secondary deficiencies be caused by certain chronic conditions (such diabetes, kidney disease, obesity, autoimmune diseases, or cancer), nutritional (including both lack nutrients bioactive non-nutrient compounds), medical treatments addictive substances. This article unravels molecular linkage aforementioned system atherosclerosis.
