Given the ongoing strain that obesity epidemic has placed on public health outcomes, new and effective approaches to weight control are needed. One approach improving metabolic outcomes is intermittent fasting, which consists of multiple different timing schedules for temporary food avoidance, including alternate-day other similar full-day fasting patterns, time-restricted feeding (where day's consumed over a 6-h period, allowing 18 h fasting). These have favorable effects by intermittently inducing metabolism fatty acids ketones. The regimens overall lead decrease in been linked improvements dyslipidemia blood pressure. While more research needed longer-term this should be avoided particular conditions, considered as an option individuals who pattern unhealthy gain using standard eating patterns.

Weight loss is key to controlling the increasing prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS) and its components, i.e., central obesity, hypertension, prediabetes dyslipidaemia. The goals our study were two-fold. First, we characterised relationships between eating duration, unprocessed processed food consumption health. During 4 weeks observation, 213 adults used a smartphone application record drink consumption, which was annotated for processing levels following NOVA classification. Low low physical activity showed significant associations with multiple MS components. Second, in pragmatic randomised controlled trial, compared benefits 12 h time-restricted (TRE) standard dietary advice (SDA) 54 an duration > 14 at least one component. After 6 months, those TRE lost 1.6% initial body weight (SD 2.9, p = 0.01), absence SDA (-1.1%, SD 3.5, 0.19). There no difference (between-group -0.88%, 95% confidence interval -3.1 1.3, 0.43). Our results show potential records predict health highlight that further research needed improve individual responses such as shorter window or actual clock time.

Cardiometabolic diseases (CMDs), including cardiovascular disease (CVD), metabolic syndrome (MetS), and type 2 diabetes (T2D), are associated with increased morbidity mortality. The growing prevalence of CVD is mostly attributed to the aging population common occurrence risk factors, such as high systolic blood pressure, elevated plasma glucose, body mass index, which led a global epidemic obesity, MetS, T2D. Oxidant–antioxidant balance disorders largely contribute pathogenesis outcomes CMDs, systemic essential hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, MetS. Enhanced disturbed generation reactive oxygen species in excess adipose tissue during obesity may lead oxidative stress. Understanding interplay between adiposity, stress, cardiometabolic risks can have translational impacts, leading identification novel effective strategies for reducing CMDs burden. present review article based on extant results from basic clinical studies specifically addresses various aspects oxidant–antioxidant course subjects accumulation. We aim at giving comprehensive overview existing knowledge, knowledge gaps, future perspectives further research. provide insights into both mechanisms implications effects related adiposity stress treating preventing CMDs. Time-restricted eating (TRE) is an effective way to lose weight and improve metabolic health in animals. Yet whether how these benefits apply humans unclear. This systematic review meta-analysis examined the effect of TRE people with overweight obesity statuses. The results showed that led modest loss, lower waist circumference energy deficits. also improved body mass index, fat mass, lean systolic blood pressure, fasting glucose levels, insulin HbA1c%. Subgroup analysis demonstrated more improvements group than control under

Background Obesity and metabolic syndrome (MetS) have become increasingly significant global health issues. Time-restricted feeding (TRF), as a novel dietary intervention, has garnered attention in recent years. However, there is limited research focusing on the effects of TRF energy expenditure systemic low-grade inflammation. This study aims to investigate impact weight management, glucose metabolism, insulin resistance, lipid metabolism male C57BL/6J mice, particularly context disorders induced by high-fat diet (HFD). Methods mice were divided into two groups: normal (ND) group (HFD) group. The duration was 12 weeks. Key parameters observed included body weight, tolerance (via tests), resistance (HOMA-IR), secretion under stimulation. Additionally, liver tissue subjected Oil Red O staining assess accumulation, white brown adipose tissues stained with hematoxylin eosin (HE) evaluate adipocyte size. expression hepatic lipogenesis-related genes (Srebp-c, Chrebp, Fasn, Acc1) thermogenic (UCP1 PGC-1α) also measured. Furthermore, temperature changes interscapular (BAT) monitored. Results In ND group: improved reduced circulating levels pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6, slight reduction weight. In HFD significantly mitigated gain, enhanced steatosis downregulating liver. increased thermogenesis upregulating BAT, while lowering serum cytokines IL-6 TNF-α, though IL-1β remained unchanged. Conclusion demonstrates that can activate reduce inflammation maker, leading an improvement accumulation. These findings suggest may be promising intervention for mitigating disturbances associated obesity syndrome. provides mechanistic insights beneficial TRF, highlighting its potential modulating exerting anti-inflammatory effects.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) poses a serious health and economic burden worldwide. Modifiable lifestyle factors are focus of research into reducing the CVD, with diet as one most investigated factors. Specifically, timing regularity food intake is an emerging area, approaches such time-restricted eating (TRE) receiving much attention. TRE involves shortening time available to eat across day associated improved CVD outcomes compared longer windows. Abstract Objective This systematic scoping review aimed to map and synthesize research on feasibility of time‐restricted eating (TRE) in individuals with overweight, obesity, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes, including recruitment rate, retention safety, adherence, participants' attitudes, experiences, perspectives. Methods The authors searched MEDLINE, Embase, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature from inception November 22, 2022, supplemented by backward forward citation search. Results From 4219 identified records, 28 studies were included. In general, was easy median rate 95% among <12 weeks duration 89% ≥12 weeks. Median (range) adherence the target window for (75%–98%) 81% (47%–93%), respectively. Variation participants considerable, indicating that following TRE difficult some people intervention conditions influenced adherence. These findings supported qualitative data synthetized seven studies, determinants included calorie‐free beverages outside window, provision support, influence window. No serious adverse events reported. Conclusions is implementable, acceptable, safe populations but it should be accompanied support options individual adjustments.
