The preservation of reproductive health of the population is an important factor of demographic policy of the state. According to some authors from 14 to 30% of couples of reproductive age suffer from infertility; male factor in such marriages is detected in more than half of the cases. As you know, in recent years there has been a significant deterioration in the main indicators of reproductive function of men. Increased the number of andrological diseases, morphological disorders of the male reproductive system, almost halved the production of sperm in men of reproductive age. The reason probably lies behind a whole …

Background: Despite the evidence of declining sperm counts worldwide and increasing prevalence male infertility, there has been limited documentation potential causes risk factors for infertility. With methods primary treatment understanding will pinpoint specific lines prevention. Objective: We reviewed published studies on infertility identify gaps in literature enabling more focused research innovations. Design/Setting: The study was a scoping review. review included scientific/academic publications. It not to any region or date. following databases were searched: Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, Wiley online, HINARI, Science Direct, PubMed/Medline, Google Scholar, African Journals Online, WHO Repository. In total, 1295 articles identified. After removing 357 duplicates, 938 screened, 71 identified inclusion, while 60 met inclusion criteria. Results: Four broad 1) biological/physiological/genetic causes, 2) behavioral/lifestyle factors, 3) environmental 4) socio-demographic factors. However, no substantive results actual under each category identified, leaving further experimentation. Conclusion: indicate knowledge studies. that need be bridged enable fuller highlighted. The objective was to evaluate the effect of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic (EPA) on sperm parameters including total concentration, motility, DHA, seminal plasma DHA concentration in infertile men. literature search conducted PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus from January 1, 1990 December 20, 2017. systematic review meta-analysis were based randomized controlled trials men with or EPA treatments, either alone combination other micronutrients. Three studies met inclusion criteria: 147 patients intervention group 143 control group. analysis showed that omega-3 treatments significantly increased motility (RR 5.82, 95% CI [2.91, 8.72], p <. 0001, I2 = 76%) 1.61, [0.15, 3.07], =. 03, 98%). Compared controls, interventions did not affect 0.31, [-8.13, 8.76], 94, 95%) 0.50, [-4.17, 5.16], 83, 99%). observed heterogeneity may be due administration period dosage fatty acids across studies. Funnel plot shows no evidence publication bias. This indicates supplementing resulted a significant improvement plasma.

Testis-expressed gene 11 (TEX11) is an X-linked and essential for meiotic recombination chromosomal synapsis. TEX11 deficiency causes arrest male infertility, many mutations have been found in azoospermic infertile men. This study reported one novel mutation (2653G → T, exon 29, GenBank accession number, NM_031276) two brothers with azoospermia. was firstly screened out by whole-exome sequencing (WES) further verified amplifying the specific 29. Surprisingly, same exonic missense (W856C) observed but not their mother. Histological analysis of testicular biopsy from both revealed no post-meiotic round spermatids mature spermatozoa were seminiferous tubules. expression strongly spermatogonia weakly spermatocytes, Sertoli cells interstitial cells. We identified summarized literature regarding infertility. previous indicate that are closely associated especially azoospermia, although auxiliary clinical analyses needed to figure

Approximately 9% of couples are infertile, with half these cases relating to male factors. While many infertility associated genetic and lifestyle factors, approximately 30% still idiopathic. Contaminants emerging concern (CECs) denote substances identified in the environment for first time or detected at low concentrations during water quality analysis. Since CEC production use have increased recent decades, CECs now ubiquitous surface groundwater. increasingly observed human tissues, parallel reports indicate that semen is continuously declining, supporting notion may play a role infertility. This narrative review focuses on several (including pesticides pharmaceuticals) nearshore marine False Bay, Cape Town, South Africa, deliberates their potential effects fertility offspring exposed parents, as well spermatozoa toxicological studies. Collective findings report chronic vivo exposure pesticides, including atrazine, simazine, chlorpyrifos, likely be detrimental reproduction organisms, sperm performance vitro. Similarly, pharmaceuticals such diclofenac naproxen impairs motility both These contaminants also key health disease sired by parents CECs. On other side double-edged sword, we propose due its sensitivity environmental conditions, could used bioindicator eco- repro-toxicology

Variations in the estrogen receptor genes, particularly Xba1 (rs9340799) SNP ESR1 gene, may influence effects of on male fertility. Results from previous studies this for infertility have been inconclusive. This review aimed to determine association with infertility. Relevant case–control published English were searched Google Scholar, Embase, Scopus, Web Science, Cochrane Library, and PubMed using keywords ESR, polymorphism, Studies animals, reviews, abstracts excluded. Pooled odds ratios (ORs) calculated four genetic models, heterogeneity assessed by I 2 . A fixed or random effect model was applied based , trial sequential analysis (TSA) conducted 5% significance type error 95% power. expression levels examined testes, hypothalamus, prostate, pituitary GTEx Analysis. Nine (four Asian, Caucasian, one African) met criteria. The G allele protective against overall (OR: 0.80; confidence interval [CI] = [0.70, 0.92]) Caucasian men 0.71; CI [0.54, 0.92]). Lower risk observed Asian (AA vs. GG OR: 0.65; [0.43, 0.98]) 0.49; [0.28, 0.83]). TSA indicated no further are likely change these results. No significant due SNP. present meta-analysis suggests that is infertility, current data sufficient confirm findings.

The cryopreservation of spermatogonia stem cells (SSCs) has been widely used as an alternative treatment for infertility. However, itself induces cryoinjury due to oxidative and osmotic stress, leading reduction in the survival rate functionality SSCs. Glial-derived neurotrophic factor family receptor alpha 1 (GFRα1) promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF) are expressed during self-renewal differentiation SSCs, making them key tools identifying To best our knowledge, involvement GFRα1 PLZF determining SSCs after with therapeutic intervention is limited. Therefore, purpose this review determine role biomarkers evaluating intervention. Therapeutic intervention, such use antioxidants, enhancement protocols, cell encapsulation, cryoprotectant agents (CPA), equilibrium time temperature increase expression PLZF, resulting maintaining In conclusion, have potential ensure cells.
