Overnutrition is a risk factor for various human diseases, including neurodegenerative metabolic disorders, and cancers. Therefore, targeting overnutrition represents simple but attractive strategy the treatment of these increasing public health threats. Fasting as dietary intervention combating has been extensively studied. practiced millennia, only recently have its roles in molecular clock, gut microbiome, tissue homeostasis function emerged. can slow aging most species protect against These centuried unfading adventures explorations suggest that fasting potential to delay help prevent treat diseases while minimizing side effects caused by chronic interventions. In this review, recent animal studies concerning role underlying mechanism physiology pathology are summarized, therapeutic highlighted, combination pharmacological discussed new regimen diseases.

Some studies have investigated the impact of intermittent fasting (IF) for patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). We aimed to conduct a comprehensive systematic review analyze and summarize all clinical concerning effects IF on MS. conducted an exhaustive information available in Embase, Cochrane, PubMed databases up until 1 September 2023. All research relating impacts MS were included. In total, this encompassed 5 studies, which included four RCTs one pilot study. Each study involved was assessed high quality. The results from these demonstrate that protocols could potentially serve as effective dietary strategy managing symptoms improving quality life individuals afflicted conclusion, might be potential beneficial intervention However, number trials field is relatively limited. large-scale investigate are urgently needed, may helpful manage intricate neuroimmune disorder. As the population ages, promoting healthy aging through targeted interventions becomes increasingly crucial. Growing evidence suggests that dietary can significantly impact this process by modulating fundamental molecular pathways. This review focuses on potential of strategies in and mechanisms which specific nutrients patterns influence key pathways involved cellular repair, inflammation, metabolic regulation. Caloric restriction, intermittent fasting, Mediterranean diet, as well ketogenic diet showed promising effects aging, possibly mTORC1 AMPK, an insulin signaling pathway. By understanding intricate interplay between pathways, we develop personalized not only prevent age-related diseases, but also promote overall health well-being throughout process.

Mechanotransduction is a strictly regulated process whereby mechanical stimuli, including forces and properties, are sensed translated into biochemical signals. Increasing data demonstrate that mechanotransduction crucial for regulating macroscopic microscopic dynamics functionalities. However, the actions mechanisms of across multiple hierarchies, from molecules, subcellular structures, cells, tissues/organs, to whole-body level, have not been yet comprehensively documented. Herein, biological roles operational macro micro revisited, with focus on orchestrations diverse hierarchies. The implications, applications, challenges in human diseases also summarized discussed. Together, this knowledge hierarchical perspective has potential refresh insights regulation disease pathogenesis therapy, ultimately revolutionize prevention, diagnosis, treatment diseases.

ABSTRACT Integrating dietary interventions have been extensively studied for their health benefits, such as Alzheimer's disease, Huntington's and aging. However, it is necessary to fully understand the mechanisms of long‐term effects practical applications these health. A 10‐week intermittent fasting (IMF) regimen was implemented on aging animals in current study. The variations cerebral functions were analyzed employing a comprehensive experimental design that includes behavioral tests, neuroimaging, ultrastructural analysis, resting‐state functional MRI (rsfMRI), EEG/EMG recordings, transmission electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry. Over regimen, IMF significantly improved locomotor activity, motor coordination, muscle strength compared controls ( p < 0.01). Resting‐state fMRI (rsfMRI) demonstrated modulates brain‐wide connectivity, enhancing communication between key brain regions. Advanced imaging techniques revealed increased expression myelin‐related proteins, including myelin basic protein (MBP), myelin‐associated glycoprotein (MAG), indicating enhanced integrity repair, particularly axons with diameters 400 nm These findings suggest may mitigate age‐related declines by promoting better neuronal signaling. This study highlights potential function non‐pharmacological intervention promote cognitive decline populations.

<p><strong>Aim</strong> Intermittent fasting is a popular weight loss strategy that alternates between periods and unrestricted eating. Research shows it can improve insulin resistance, lower HbA1c level, aid in management, enhance cardiometabolic health. These effects help address obesity, hypertension, type 2 diabetes. Despite its popularity, research on intermittent the United Arab Emirates sparse. This study aimed to evaluate awareness practice of different regimens, including Alternate-Day Fasting, Modified Time-Restricted Feeding, Ramadan Chinese Medical Nutrition Therapy, as well examine relationship diabetes.<br /><strong>Methods</strong> A cross-sectional was conducted with 320 participants aged &ge;18 years, irrespective gender or nationality. An approval obtained from Institutional Review Board, informed consent secured. Data were collected via validated questionnaire Google Forms, covering sociodemographic details, knowledge fasting, information sources, health conditions.&nbsp;<br /><strong>Results</strong> total 270 (87.4%) aware 149 (55.2%) practiced it. There no significant link practice, but 29 (78.4%) practitioners associated obesity. Among those chronic conditions, 23 (91.2%) experienced positive changes.<br /><strong>Conclusion</strong> high individual beliefs influence practice. The identified association obesity changes conditions implies potential benefits.</p>
