Abstract Collagen nanoparticles (collagen-NPs) are promising biopolymeric due to their superior biodegradability and biocompatibility. The low immunogenicity non-toxicity of collagen-NPs makes it preferable for a wide range applications. A total eight morphologically distinct actinomycetes strains were newly isolated from various soil samples in Egypt. cell-free supernatants these tested ability. This mini-review discusses Mg–Al hydrotalcite-based catalyst systems used for modified Friedländer quinoline synthesis. The metal-grafted hydrotalcites consist of both active metal species and base sites capable advancing catalytic activity. Ru-grafted catalysts are the oxidative dehydrogenation 2-aminobenzyl alcohol to 2-aminobenzaldehyde, followed by base-catalyzed condensation with ketones 2-substituted quinolines. Fe-grafted also act as heterogeneous one-pot synthesis at a slightly higher reaction temperature. For pure hydrotalcite, hydrogen transfer reactions occur afford 2-aminobenzaldehyde intermediate an alcohol, resulting in consequent production corresponding mechanism substrate scope each system discussed.
