Abstract The uses of mobile brain/body imaging (MoBI) are expanding and allow for more direct study the neurophysiological signals associated with behavior in psychotherapeutic encounters. Neuroaesthetics is concerned cognitive neural basis art appreciation, scientific correlations being made field that might help to clarify theories claimed creative arts therapies. Yet, most neuroaesthetics studies confined laboratory do not propose a translation research methods clinical applications. therapies have long history success various patient populations will benefit from increased explanation support intervention strategies. Examining brain dynamics motor behaviors higher complex processes involved artistic expression offers MoBI as promising instrumentation move forward linking ideas Tracking association behavioral change allows objective quantitative physiological monitors evaluate, together subjective reports provides insight into psychological mechanisms treatment. We outline framework shows how can be used effectiveness therapy interventions motivated by 4E approach cognition focus on visual therapy. article illuminates new partnership among fields therapy, neuroscience, work within 4E/MoBI efforts advance transdisciplinary health populations.

To date, there is no meta-analysis that specifically assesses the effectiveness of art-based interventions improve mental health in pregnant women. The objective this was assess efficacy when delivered Methods Systematic literature searches were conducted from inception 6 March 2022 seven English databases, including PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central Register, CINAHL, ProQuest, Scopus, Web Science. Randomised controlled trials (RCTs) reporting targeting improvement women’s pregnancy included. risk bias tool applied evidence quality. Results Twenty-one randomised involving 2,815 participants eligible for data analysis. A pooled analysis demonstrated significantly reduced anxiety (SMD = −0.75, 95% CI −1.10 −0.40) depression symptoms (MD −0.79, −1.30 −0.28). However, did not alleviate stress as expected our findings.
