To explore the spatial distribution pattern of Tamarix chinensis population and influencing factors in muddy coastal zone Bohai Bay, we studied T. forest on beach area Beihai New District, Binzhou City, Shandong Province. A combination field investigations laboratory-based sample analyses were used to measure analyze density, height, cover, distance from sea, groundwater depth, soil salinity, basic physical properties nutrients. The results showed that coefficients variation for 18 indices between 0.03 0.96; Ca2+ Na+ content greatest, followed by those Mg2+, salt content, available phosphorus, while bulk total pH other indicators changed less. Inappropriate management of land use systems is one the main factors that leads to soil quality degradation and its quantification crucial their sustainable utilization planning. The objective research evaluate how various land-use systems, viz. , natural forest, tree plantations Tectona grandis, Terminalia bellirica, Swietenia macrophylla, Artocarpus hirsutus Melia dubia based agroforestry system, horticulture ( Mangifera indica ) agriculture impact physicochemical biological characteristics in semi-arid climatic conditions India. Principal component analysis followed by linear non-linear scoring methods was employed compute index (SQI). attributes viz., dehydrogenase activity, acid phosphatase available nitrogen, potassium, calcium, porosity, iron emerged as significant indicators for assessing quality. Among different SQIs, weighted SQI can efficiently assess Based on SQI, order studied forest (0.973) > macrophylla (0.756) (0.737) (0.556) grandis (0.416) bellirica (0.373) (0.343) (0.208). study concludes converting forests into deteriorated Identifying will help rapidly diagnose degradation, soil-based ecosystem services, design appropriate practices future.

The establishment of ecological economic system has become the key to realize transformation China's economy from high-speed development high-quality development. This paper considers multiple goals economic, social, and benefits achieve sustainable Firstly, it establishes an indicator affecting guide construction subsequent model. Secondly, this study constructs a multi-objective optimization model for industrial structure. According different emphasis objectives, hybrid approach based on ant colony particle swarm (ACO-PSO) is implemented solve optimal solution set feasible schemes. Finally, Sichuan Province selected as case area, three scenarios including oriented scenario, employment protection scenario environment-friendly are screened analyzed. results show that: (1) After reasonable adjustment structure, realizes overall benefits, social benefits. comprehensive have been significantly improved. To upgrade the groundwater quality evaluation model based on Hasse diagram technique (HDT), this paper established a new game theory and HDT. This model, Upgraded-HDT, has been upgraded in three aspects: selection of weighting method, combination weights simplification calculation steps. The data nine sample sites Ganjingzi district Dalian city 2013 were used as case to validate model. results Upgraded-HDT showed that all was class III or better, apart from site 5, which deeply affected by seawater intrusion pollutant seepage. In addition, nemerow pollution index (NPI), fuzzy comprehensive (FCE), AHP-HDT, Entropy-HDT, Game theory-HDT compared analyzed. although verifying importance expert experience evaluating not sufficiently accurate at 4 6, while Entropy-HDT 7, 8 9 overly optimistic did reflect real situation quality. Hence, use single method could accurately evaluate water most same AHP-HDT 7 8. regarding optimal weights, advantages two complement each other because both take into account subjective initiative people avoid one-sidedness method. Abstract Background Shifting cultivation is a major agriculture practice in the Nagaland state of India. This study examines effect shifting and length fallow period on soil quality index (SQI). Four sites were selected for study, viz., site (SCS), 3-year-old land (FL-3), 7-year-old (FL-7), 12-year-old (FL-12). Soil parameters recorded seasonally SQI was calculated from minimum data set. Results With increase period, values conductivity, organic carbon, available nitrogen, phosphorus, exchangeable potassium, moisture, clay, cation exchange capacity increased. Meanwhile, pH bulk density decreased with duration. The additive order SCS < FL-3 FL-12 FL-7; meanwhile, weighted w FL-7 FL-12. It also observed that value decreases depth under both indexes. lowest reflects reduced carbon (SOC) macronutrients. Increased SOC levels (2.88–3.94%) may be one reason its higher value. Conclusions Our highlights unsustainable practices reduction negatively affect quality. Furthermore, recommends use method as it agrees reports causing alteration findings utilized to quickly access disseminate information stakeholders aid constructing local maps region. There an urgent need rapid, cost resource-efficient assessment tool achieves this goal.

Context Soil management in forest sites is crucial for ensuring an adequate physical environment growth and development. Aims This study aimed to test if chiselling improves soil conditions, fine root growth, height stem diameter of Pinus taeda L. southern Brazil. Methods The experimental design used randomised blocks with three tillage methods: no-tillage/control, handmade pit, mechanical subsoiling. Parameters evaluated included tree height, diameter, estimated volume at 12 24 months after planting. chemical properties, along traits such as length density (RLD) (FRD), were analysed when the trees old. Key results properties unaffected by method, but significant differences observed. Subsoiling provided best environment, lower bulk penetration resistance. Roots concentrated surface layer (0.00–0.05 m), average 41% RLD 37% FRD across all treatments. Conclusions greatest volume. Therefore, subsoiling was most effective method P. development on a clayey Oxisol under subtropical environment. Implications Our can guide strategies plantations, helping minimize environmental impact through proper understanding dynamics roots, maximizing production Pinus.
