Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved cellular recycling process that maintains homeostasis. Despite extensive research in endocrine contexts, the role of autophagy ovarian and testicular steroidogenesis remains elusive. The significant testosterone production suggests potential treatments for conditions like oligospermia azoospermia. Liver metastases are frequently observed in various malignancies, including hepatocellular carcinoma, colorectal cancer, pancreatic and melanoma.
