Phaeophyta (brown algae) represent a significant proportion of macroalgal production worldwide. While there are around 1500 species brown algae, biomass originates from only small number species. Production is far greater in Asia where seaweed farming part the cultural background, primary use for human consumption, and growing conditions significantly different European contexts. With all this mind, cost aquaculture not currently economically viable if algae were to be produced purely as bulk feedstock agricultural fertilizers or animal feeds. This review focuses on three target (Laminaria digitata, Saccharina latissima Alaria esculenta), investigating potential uses these seaweeds both also higher value extracted components following areas: hydrocolloids, feed, chemical through fermentation, foodstuffs, applications, cosmetics pharmaceutical applications.

With the rapid development of biodiesel, biodiesel-derived glycerol has become a promising renewable bioresource. The key to utilizing this bioresource lies in value-added conversion crude glycerol. While purifying into pure form allows for diverse applications, intricate nature process renders it costly and environmentally stressful. Consequently, technology facilitating direct utilization unpurified holds significant importance. It been reported that can be bio-transformed or chemically converted high-value polymers. These technologies provide cost-effective alternatives polymer production while contributing more sustainable biodiesel industry. This review article describes global quality characteristics investigates influencing factors treatment composition including water, methanol, soap, matter organic non-glycerol, ash. Additionally, also focused on advantages challenges various converting polymers, considering such as compatibility control unfavorable factors. Lastly, application prospect value were discussed from aspects economy environmental protection. new increased use feedstock will facilitated by findings review, promoting mass market applications.

At present, with the continuous improvement of living standards, people are paying increasing attention to dietary nutrition and health. Low sugar low energy consumption have become important trends. In terms control, more countries implemented taxes in recent years. Hence, as substitute for sugar, low-calorie sweeteners been widely used beverage, bakery, confectionary industries. general, consist high-intensity bulk (some rare sugars alcohols). this review, advances challenges explored. Bioproduction has focus many researches, because it potential replace current industrial scale production through chemical synthesis. A comprehensive summary physicochemical properties, physiological functions, applications, bioproduction, regulation typical sweeteners, such D-allulose, D-tagatose, D-mannitol, sorbitol, erythritol, is provided.

Background: Colostrum, abundant in immunoglobulins and growth factors, plays a vital role supporting immunity. Both yak buffalo milk are characterized by their high protein fat content. However, the metabolomic profiles of colostrum (YC), (BC), bovine (CC) remain largely unexplored. The objective this study is to identify unique metabolites that may impact nutritional value colostrum. Methods: This employed ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS) for untargeted metabolomics analysis YC, BC, CC. Results: revealed 97, 70, 75 differentially expressed YC-CC, BC-CC, YC-BC comparisons, respectively. In comparison CC, both YC BC shared common features, including reduced choline levels elevated O-acetylcarnitine. Moreover, such as 2-hydroxy-6-pentadecylbenzoic acid, DL-glycerol-1-phosphate, thiamine, L-carnitine, methyl β-D-galactoside, uridine diphosphate (UDP) were identified potential biomarkers while 21-deoxycortisol, D-synephrine, uridine, mannitol-1-phosphate, nonadecanoic perillic acid specific BC. Conclusions: has greater advantages energy supply, antioxidant activity, immune regulation, cell homeostasis, holds significance physical development balance regulation. These findings provide valuable insights, enabling selection bioactive develop targeted functional foods from colostrum, catering diverse needs.

The major goals in the management of diabetes are to maintain normal control glucose metabolism and glycemia. Dietary modification is one most recommended treatment modalities for diabetic patients. use foods sweetened with sugar alcohols (also known as polyols) such xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, maltitol, lactitol, isomalt erythritol, has brought an escalating interest. Since some do not raise plasma glucose, they partially digested metabolised. Diet composition adequacy may be altered by replacing carbohydrates alcohols. It been established that these polyols appropriate substitutes a healthy lifestyle foods. present review focuses on evidence supporting diabetes, evaluating their physical chemical properties, metabolism, absorption, glycemic insulinemic control. Although documentation glycaemic response evident compounds antidiabetic, there however dearth literature possible toxicity and/or side effects associated usage at or abusive doses. Thus, future studies should also focus order define safety.
