Phaeophyta
(brown
algae)
represent
a
significant
proportion
of
macroalgal
production
worldwide.
While
there
are
around
1500
species
brown
algae,
biomass
originates
from
only
small
number
species.
Production
is
far
greater
in
Asia
where
seaweed
farming
part
the
cultural
background,
primary
use
for
human
consumption,
and
growing
conditions
significantly
different
European
contexts.
With
all
this
mind,
cost
aquaculture
not
currently
economically
viable
if
algae
were
to
be
produced
purely
as
bulk
feedstock
agricultural
fertilizers
or
animal
feeds.
This
review
focuses
on
three
target
(Laminaria
digitata,
Saccharina
latissima
Alaria
esculenta),
investigating
potential
uses
these
seaweeds
both
also
higher
value
extracted
components
following
areas:

milk
